My music is for Phoenix. Only she can sing it. Anyone else who tries, dies.

"The Scarlet Claw" (1944) - Rathbone and Bruce are back as Holmes and Watson in another fun romp. This one's a bit uneven; it starts off feeling like a Universal monster flick, complete with mysterious glowing ghost in the woods, and musical cues that I know I've heard in the monster films. Then it transitions into a more typical whodunit, although with some twists and turns. Rathbone is excellent as always.

Well, I picked up the new blu-ray of Breakfast at Tiffany's; kind of a guilty pleasure. I'm a big fan of Henry Mancini's music and the movie isn't half bad. What other movie can boast Audrey Hepburn and Martin Balsam? Wow, I just had a momentary vision of Audrey Hepburn in Psycho! I also got the Wal-mart (sans the trinkets) version of Ben-Hur on blu-ray. I'm not all that big on costume epics but this has some nostalgia value (plus it's a high definition 8k scan). Wal-mart also had Deep Impact on BD for ten bucks, but there I go veering off the thread into sci-fi territory...

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

- Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story

I like this one alot. Bruce was the man.
"For one who has lived but a single lifetime, you are a wise man ...Van Helsing."
"I shall awaken memories of love and crime and death..."
