Moonshadow

"The Pearl of Death" (1944) -another Rathbone/Bruce Sherlock Holmes affair. The beginning is clever enough, with Holmes actually accidentally contributing to a master thief making off with the famous Borgia Pearl. To make amends, he must recover the Pearl. A ton of disguises in this one, as well as an appearance by Rondo Hatton as the Hoxton Creeper. The beginning and ending are good, the middle dragged a bit, but at 69 minutes, who can complain? Rathbone and Bruce are both top notch in this.

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

Moonshadow

"The Hound of the Baskervilles" (1939): The first Basil Rathbone -Nigel Bruce collaboration in their marvelous Sherlock Holmes series. This is an odd one, as Holmes himself disappears for a good chunk of the time, but Bruce carries on winningly as Dr. Watson. Both Lionel Atwill and John Carradine are also in the cast, which does a solid job. Modern audiences would likely not find the 'hound' menacing at all, and the supernatural aspect might have been played up more, but all in all, a satisfying thriller.

- Bad Boys (1983)

Still rough, this movie is powerful.

Watched this maybe a month ago after many years. A long forgotten fave 80's film.

7/10 skulls.

Watched "Fast Five" with a neighbor who brought it over. Didn't know it was a bootleg until the bloody thing nearly blew my speakers out during the opening car chase/gunfight! Told her NEVER to bring a bootleg into my place again.
1. I don't approve of it.
2. I don't want my speakers ruined.
Otherwise, the flick was so-so.

RedKing

the live action Yogi Bear movie. I thought it was pretty fun and true to the characters.
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!
