The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, with Basil Rathbone and George Zucco as Professor Moriarty
My music is for Phoenix. Only she can sing it. Anyone else who tries, dies.

Street Worm

"Nothing But Trouble" (1991)  :D

I don't do many comedies, but aside from Demi Moore's hair (& outfit) this is a great one!

The house, the setting, the vintage road signs & carnival art...
Dan Aykroyd (who also directed & wrote the screenplay)
Chevy Chase & John Candy are all wonderful!

QuoteNothing But Trouble received overwhelmingly negative reviews,
and flopped at the box office...

ummmmm...  ::)

Just stuck this on my Netflix queue..........the cast alone makes it worth a look. If the critics hated it, I'm pretty sure I'll like it.

Unknown Primate

KLUTE (1971) starring Donald Sutherland & Jane Fonda

A pretty cool suspense/thriller.  Interesting characters & Sutherland does a great job with his low-key performance.  Fonda's good, and plays "annoying" well  :D.  Directed by Alan J. pakula.
" Perhaps he dimly wonders why, there is no other such as I. "

The other night I watched a movie called MAN IN THE CHAIR which left me sobbing. And I don't sob easily. A teenager making/directing a movie for a school project decides to enlist the aid of an elderly drunk ex Hollywood Gaffer (Christopher Plummer), who is connected with a  group of elderly assorted motion picture assistants. The kid decides to change his movie to being about the horrendous treatment in nursing homes...my Dad is still trying to recover enough from his "cardiac event with complications" to be in a nursing home ("rehab facility")...it hit me right between the eyes. I don't even like non-horror non-scifi-non-porn movies but I have to say this was the best movie I've seen in quite a while. Highly recommended.Man in the Chair official trailer 12_07

Unknown Primate

Packy, that kid's a good actor - he starred in another bittersweet movie from 2005 called ONE LAST THING.

Apocalypse Now (1979) -- a war classic - watched it on AMC

Moonshadow

"127 Hours" (2010) - The true story of mountaineer Aron Ralston, who had to amputate his own arm when it got stuck under a boulder. It's frequently uncomfortable to watch, not only because of the graphic amputation, but also because of the deep frustration and fear the man goes through. But it's a testament to what a human being can do when they want to survive.
