This was the studio that kept Bela Lugosi working in the public eye when Universal gave him the shaft during the 1940's..and as such, he turned out quite a few films for them..
For a third-rate studio, they managed to get some famous names working in their films during their run: Ava Gardner, Boris Karloff, Mantan Moreland, John Carradine, George Zucco, the Bowery Boys, Glenn Strange & Wallace Ford, to name a few.

I voted for King of the Zombies.  I recently watched this for the first time from a dvd set I got and thought it was pretty funny.  The black man in the movie was funny, but I don't remember his name.
Long live the UMA!

That would be Mantan Moreland. He showed up in everything from Universal horror films, Charlie Chan, Abbott & Costello to low-budget stuff like this and Revenge Of the Zombies. He was also in Spider Baby(1964) with Lon Chaney,Jr. and was considered by Moe Howard as a possible replacement for Shemp in the Three Stooges after Shemp's untimely death in 1955, however, the studios wanted Joe Besser.

I went with The Ape Man, but I like Spooks Run Wild equally as much.

Mike Scott

Another potentially great box set, unlike those Mill Creek sets that are always all over the map from the '30s to the '70s with a bunch of Hercules movies thrown in for (no) good measure.

I went w/Spooks Run Wild, but I love Return of the Ape Man w/Lugosi, one of my favorite so-bad-it's-good movies.
I'm a sucker too for the Bowery Boys/East Side Kids. I'm eagerly hoping that The Bowery Boys Meet The Monsters will enjoy a DVD release someday soon.

spooks run wild, nothing better than Bela and the Dead End Kids.

That's right!  Thanks for the info.  Don't know if I have seen Revenge of the Zombies but I am gonna find it.  And now that you mentioned it that is him in Spider Baby!  Think I will watch that now!

Street Worm

Went with Black Dragons (1942)  but I could have just as easily picked
The Corpse Vanishes (1942)

& yeah, Mantan Moreland is great in King Of the Zombies~  ;D

Creature Features

Invisible Ghost for me. Love that film!

The Black Dragons also appeared with The East Side Kids or Bowery Boys in another movie, iirc....
