Memphremagog

I've listed House Of Dracula as the Monster is a main character in it, even though he doesnt get much screen time. The others are pretty much explanatory..
DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

A&C Meet Frankenstein. I love this movie more & more as time goes by.
"Well friends, that's all there is to life: just a little laugh, a little tear." - Prof. Echo (Lon Chaney, Sr.)

Same here. It may not be the original or even Bride, but it's the first one that I ever saw and I still like the plot and cast..

Actually I think Bride of is my LEAST fave. I have watched it maybe 6 or 7 times and it always leaves me yawning and bored/watching the timer. I fully understand the concept of this film but I still find it rather dull.

The Creeper

Once again, all great films, but have to go with Frankenstein.
Long live the UMA!

Creature Features

Frankenstein! There's just TOO many great scenes in that movie.

As with Bela in Dracula, Boris' opening scene is embedded in my psyche.

Oh, and heck; the scene with Dr. Frankenstein  screaming  "It's Alive" will be remembered forever.   (check my sig!    8)  )...Man, Colin was so awesome in that scene!  His voice seemed almost...orgasmic with power...you can hear him battling to control himself right before he is restrained. Incredible.

The scene with the little girl at the riverside; a brief hint of fear in her eyes, then right  back to a child's innocence...the confrontation between the monster and his maker...i could go on and on...

That film rules my world.
"It's Alive...oh, It's Alive! It's Alive, It's Alive...IT'S ALIVE!!!"

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

Sean

I can't even pick one... love 'em all.  I saw A & C Meet Frank most recently.

I agree, but would have say Bela's portrayal is the least favorite, dropping it to bottom of the list
"In each of us, two natures are at war--the good and the evil. All our lives the fight goes on between them, and one of them must conquer..."

I have to pick between Bride of Frankenstein, Frankenstein meets the Wolfman, and House of Frankenstein.

Bride of Frankenstein is my favorite.  The one I have the most trouble is, is with "Frankenstein Meets the Woldman", because of how the studio meddled with it.  Lugosi was supposed to have spoken (the monster had been given ygor's brain at the end of "Ghost of Frankenstein") and been blind, perfectly following the continuity of the previous film. Instead, during the production the decision was the monster was to remain silent and sighted, yet somes scenes already filmed were not reshot to reflect that decision. The end product was alright, it just could have been a lot better.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?
