That is rad.

Here's a comic I got recently. It's a Mexican King Kong comic. It has a date of 1966 on it, but the cover price says one dollar, which would be a lot for the 1960's. Anyway, it features Kong fighting a kind of giant Creature From The Black Lagoon...

Mexico uses $ to represent their peso (which may have been 6 to 10 cents in the 60s).

Aaah. That's right I just wasn't thinking. Thanks for the info.

That's a great WW7 cover posted above. I've recently started filling in the numbers of that title to complete my run. Another fun comic I recently acquired was Captain Storm 17. From 1967, the story is sort of a precursor to Weird War. Storm deals with the desire of a ghost sailor to continue the fight even in the afterlife. It's worth a look if you're a fan of this genre.

Geezer, what comic book? If I may ask? There is the same as on the back of Marvel Super Special #5. Featuring KISS.

Hey, Mars

I think it was issue 38 or 39 of Marvel's 1970s Invaders run.

Freddie Poe scored this batch of comics a few weeks ago at the July Brimfield Antique Show:

And all of the above cost him only $180!

Incidentally the Brimfield (Massachusetts) Antique Show is the largest such in North America.

I added these monster comics to my collection since the end of the summer:

Just ordered a run of Tomb Tales, which should be in my mailbox when I get home next week. I really enjoy this thread and love seeing what comics other folks are acquiring. I'm on the hunt for a Werewolf by Night 32, but I'm having a hard time justifying the current price. My grandmother (rest her soul) once spent nine dollars for a copy of Spider-Man 1 for me. At the time she thought the price was outrageous! I'm feeling the same way about my current WBN dilemma- lol!
