Ever heard or seen what is know as Shadow People? Whats your take on these dark beings.

Wicked Lester

The Shadow people are supposedly from a parallel universe. Some people say it is an optical illusion because they can usually only be perceived in ones peripheral vision. I think only from personal experience that it is a possibility. Art Bell had a few shows on this back in the day. IMO we are still infants at understanding science and how the universe works. This includes the paranormal. So until someone can prove with a fair amount of evidence that it is all B.S I keep an open mind on most things.

A long time back, my Mom opened her bedroom door, and saw a tall dark robed shadow standing in front of her, she slammed the door and screamed for my Dad to come, but the shadow was gone.
Another time, while she was in bed, she thought she heard the door open, so she looked up and saw a dark figure walk into the bathroom, she thought it was my dad, and she called out his name, when he didnt answer she screamed, and my Dad came in the bedroom, he was in the living room before that.

I've seen Shadows of people and animals out of the corner of my eyes, but just rubbed it off as imagination, or my eyes playing tricks on me. However, when I was 13 years old, I did see what looked like a woman in a whilte wedding dress standing in my woods, it scared the crap out of me and ran inside the house, and told my dad, he came out with a flashlight, but never saw anything.

I used to go over to a friend's house, and we'd play wargames, there would be about ten of us, and at different times we all had seen
the same thing, an upper torso of a Blue man.We nicknamed him the Blue man, the upper torso was solid blue.
Our parents said it was Mass suggestion/imagination, whatever, we know what we saw.

I've heard some say other dimentional, some ghosts, and still others demons. I know someone who messed around with a Voodoo book, and claimed to see a shadowy figure three nights straight.  And this was someone who's belief system was soundly based in pure science at the time.  Don't think anyone will ever know what the shadow people are, or prove / disprove their existance one way or another. As for my part I believe they probably exist, but as to what they are I'm one to go with the demon idea.  Just my take, as I really haven't any information for more than a guess.

I've had like experiences, & then some. I can't say what, or if they mean anything, but I know it's not merely one's imagination, or too much coffee. I've come to believe that the imagination can be a doorway, for lack of a better term,to the spirit realm.

Back to the corner of the eye's thing, I've experienced this often thruout my life. Most recently, I worked overnights at a group home for special needs children. Many of us, myself included, experienced some very profound things of this nature. I personally think the nature of the kids, the adolescents especially ,either created, or attracted some sort of spirit, or energy. Why, or what it means again, I can't say. Such things, real as they are, usually cause more questions than answers in my case.

That's my theory on the house. Other co-workers had more conventional explainations, everything from guardian angels, to outright hauntings.

When I was younger, I had dreams about this Male and Female shadow people, they both would cover my body, and I could feel them
choking me, I would wake up terrified, sometimes yelling, and all the time sweating.
This went on for a long time, I told my folks about it, they blamed the horror movies i watched late at night.
I never had a dream again like that since 2003.

I looked in the mirror once, and I saw five-o'clock shadow.

Sorry. I seem to be a little hyper today.

Honestly, I love watching shows and reading books that deal with the supernatural and hauntings, but I'm the type of person that needs to see something with my own eyes to truly believe it.  I guess I'll be forever on the fence about it until that day comes.  If I did happen to see something like the above picture, I think that would be the end of walks in the woods for me.  :D

personally, when I was in my 20s, 30s, I was very much a believer in the paranormal, UFOs, cryptids, etc., but I couldn't reconcile the enormous number of claims people would make and the dearth or any real evidence. I think my breaking point was in the 80s/90s when there were so many "abductees" coming forward. Barney and Betty Hill are one thing (two people, on the road, real lost time, etc), but it used to be when someone claimed to go to bed, wake up in a strange place and have strange experiences, then end up in bed again (which seemed to be a lot of these stories), it was called a "dream."

The other thing that drove me away was the increasingly elaborate explanations needed--can't find evidence of bigfoot, so they are from another dimension. Occam's Razor, anyone?

My problem with Art Bell/George Nouri types is that any guest with any claim is greeted with the same amount of skepticism--that is "zero." As a result, to me anyway, none of them have any credibility.

Occam's Razor?

Nah, I use Gillette. ;D

Right on, MDG.

As my old Grandad used to say:  The more you overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to screw up the drain."  A paraphrase-- his proverbs, we kids called 'em Grampisms, were heavily dosed with creative NSFW language.

The biggest problem with most claims of the paranormal, is that there are danged few pieces of hard evidence.
The photos here are pretty spooky and fun to fantasize about (except for the room of chairs--I see nothing but a botched drywall job).  But there is nothing there that could not be a still from a movie or someone playing with Photoshop.

Afraid I have to agree with the "dream" theory, sounds like bad jalopenos before bedtime. And no one else sees a ufo in the area, even though many people tend to stay up late. Those abducted in remote places from their cars I would more likely try to keep an open mind about the possibility. Ghosts I am a firm believer in, having expierienced one for a number of years. But being abducted in bed, in a city with no craft sightings by anyone else, does make it sound like  those people were dreaming. As far as the shadow people, I have an open mind knowing someone close who experienced this three nights in a row.

I think, at this point in time anyway, we can't prove or disprove the existence of God, ghosts, spirits, angels, demons, other dimensions etc, etc.
For one, such things are very personal experiences, & perhaps they're meant to be. Second, I don't think  we can see, photograph, even experience such beings & events unless they WANT to be noticed.

Not offering any answers or absolutes here, this is only based on my personal observations & expereince.

Strange creature caught on film, look behind the mounted cop, something is crossing the road behind him.

I'll bet that is a feral Paradolia, (sub species of Apophenia)  Fairly widespread throughout North America and Western Europe.
