You know , something is missing here. Can you guess what it is? If you said rotting vegetables being hurled from the audience then you get a cookie.

As Scrooge would say... maybe it's just a bit of undigested beef... I'm still finding reasons not to burn my eyes out!!!!! Arrrgh!

Huh.

And here I thought I was going to be sharing something grand with this article in the LA Times.

And lo and behold, I come to find that the UMA has video footage posted!  LOL.
I should have known.

Oh well...it looks ...BAD.  But I bet kids will like it.
I mean, we KNEW it was going to be campy right?

I dunno...I would watch it, just to say I did.

I think its a real insult to both Mr Chapman & Mr Browning! Mr Chapman must feel like a pin wheel from spinning in his grave so much!

What is this trash?  Swamp Thing the Musical?  Who dreamed this awful thing up?  Or should I say who dredged this awful thing up out of the ooze?

Scattr, I love your song!  It's a riot!

Most of the time I agree with you about creating things for kids that they'll like.  The Betelgeuse review thing was at times painful and at times kinda fun but kids did like it.  The clip of this is just painful.

Sadly, I am forced to agree with you.
It seems so...half-assed.

And really, it doesn't really even LOOK like the Gill-man does it?
But kids LOVE monsters, and it is very colorful isn't it?

I know I'm alone here, but I'm willing to give it a chance and see it.  (We'll try in December - Disneyland Holiday trip) ..maybe we'll try then.

His "suit" looks like Remco Creature jammies!

Wonder why they felt the need to change the Creature's look.  It's not like Bela Lugosi, Jr. owns the rights to his likeness.

His dreadlocks make me think of that Simpson's episode where they're tinkering with that dog character and say, "Rasta-fy him by 10 percent", or something like that.  And it's making fun of the creativity-by-committee corporate group think.  Ugh.

The Creature from the Black Lagoon is widely regarded as one of the very best creature designs ever.  But I don't need to tell you all that.  Someone should've told the suits at Universal.
