The Motor City has a gravitational pull on me, what can I say?

I understand. My Canada includes Detroit, e.g. Vernors, Faygo, Stroh's, Tamla Motown, Alice Cooper, the Stooges, the Detroit irons produced by the big three automakers, Elias Bros. Big Boy Restaurants, Coney Island outlets, the Tigers, Red Wings and the Pistons.

We visited my uncle and his family in Detroit dozens of times during my school years. I got a Mad Mad Mad Scientist Laboratory at a hobby shop on the north side of Seven Mile Road just west of the Southfield Expressway in the summer of 1964:
