Bobby I could hug you right now..in a very hetrosexual way...I LOVE DISCHARGE!!!!.....I remember years ago when I was a kid and had Anthrax: Attack Of The Killer B's on cassette and they did "Protest And Survive"...being a stupid kid I just thought it was their song.

Years later I was in and out of death metal bands and though it was the furthest thing we sounded like, found the Misfits and fell in love. I guess from hanging out in that section of the record store looking for stuff I was rummaging through Discharge and at that moment "State Violence/State Control" came on in the store...the rest is history. That band is responsible for sooooooooo much goodness!!! A TON of metal bands give credit to Cal and the boys...Napalm Death, Brutal Truth, Venomous Concept etc...With that it opened me up to Ramones, Exploited, GBH (AWWWWWWESOME), Black Flagg, Reagan Youth (AWESOME-ER!)
That pretty much allowed me to see how much could be done with 3 chords and a crapload of creativity, energy and volume and though I still consider myself a "metal guy"...I have a huge place in my heart for punk.

When I say PUNK...I dont mean Blink 182 or Green Day or anyone else who thinks colored hair, down strumming and bass intros are punk...anyway...having said that......

Yup, Discharge was greatness.  They morphed into lameness later on, but that early stuff was really good.

This going back like 1/4 century of alcohol fueled memories but before Discharge wasn't the band called Broken Bones or was that a side thing?

This band played some kinda Ventures/Fuzztones/Cramps meets Metal stuff. We used to get billed with bands like DOA and Suicidal Tendencies, but also bands like Pussy Galore.  Then Rigor Mortis used to ask us to play with them too, so it was hard to classify.  The songs here are from an EP that was produced by the record label and didn't come out sounding much like the band sounded live.  We were much heavier, and esp after adding a 2nd guitar player soon after this came out.

The song "Predictable" is one we did but has a different singer on this recording.

The band I was in for the longest is generally NSFW.

Our guitar player runs that page.  Here's a cut I uploaded to YouTube.

The Graceland band is fricken really cool... I dig that  "Garage" type sound and done heavy like that makes it even better! BTW I don't mean that lame ass term everyone uses now "Garage" I mean the old 60's type sound..

Yeah, I know what you mean.  It's kind of a blend.  One guitar player is very into surf and has been playing in an instrumental surf band for the past 15 years.

The other guitar player is kind of a Keith Richards style player.

The drummer on that record was a Bonham style drummer, but he's in the UK now, so we're playing with the old drummer from the Vomit Pigs, who is more of a Keith Moon style bash and crash guy, but solid as you can get.  Jim, the singer, has been fronting bands since the mid 70's.  Hard to say what it will come out like this time, but it should be fun.

Hey headbangers...this is my band! LOCKED from NJ. I am the vocalist and wrote a few of the riffs you hear, here and there...I also take care of the lyrics and vocal patterns...probably because the "musicians" in this band could care less lol. The songs you're hearing are about 6 mo old and just recently got recorded. The songs from 2005 are actually almost 8-9 yrs old, they were from a demo...and its why it sounds horrible.

We just finished this recording and broke our asses doing it...we're all in our early 30's now and it was just VERY difficult to get together and write. When we do though...its still alot of fun. We were getting ready to book some shows and take to the stage once again and our drummer bailed out. Which is both good and bad...bad for the obvious and good because he doesnt have a normal/stable bone in his body......anyway if you dig death metal, hardcore and things of that nature take a listin and hope you get a kick out of it!!
