Wow! I JUST read on Netscape that he was hospitlized. Ed McMahon, Farrah, now Michael Jackson. I don't have a superstitious bone in my body, but this "comes in 3's" thing...

Wow. I am so bummed. I can't believe it. I'm not the least bit shy in saying I was (and still am) a big fan of Micheal's music. Yes, believe it or not.

Billy Jean is still one of the coolest songs ever.

This is going to be Elvis-like in proportions. Actually, larger because the media is much more pervasive than in 1977, though Elvis was even more of a cultural icon at his death.

I'm seeing the coverage and wishing this ease of information dissemination was available when Elvis died, because it's nearly impossible to get good quality captures of the broadcasts of his death.

Wow, what a sad day.  I liked the Jackson 5 stuff when I was a kid.  You can't deny his impact on pop culture and music.  A very talented guy, I'm sorry to hear of his passing.

Talented indeed, as well as incredibly self destructive. And the thing about the self destructive is that eventually they all get their wish.

I dug the Jackson Five when I was a kid. Michael's early stuff like Thriller was HUGE as far as early music videos go and is still great today. Can't say I was a fan of his but he did have HUGE impact in the pop world and had a ton of talent. WOW! Three gone in a few days. :o

I grew up a huge Jackson-5 fan, though I never cared for the adult Michael's music much.  This is a shock.  The J-5 brought a little happiness my way, and may Michael find happiness in peace.

Don't know how to post YouTube on here, but one of the most beautiful songs I remember from youth was the theme from "BEN" by Michael.

I agree. The man cut a tragic figure for years IMO. With respect & sadness, I'm not surprised he didn't live long.
