Does the web need another Hallowe'en blog?

I say of course it does, what a stupid question...

I finally bit the bullet and have begun posting pics, video and other tidbits of my love of/creations for Hallowe'en. People have been asking me about it for some time, and I got tired of not being able to simply say 'sure, go here'.

Come over to the Skull & Pumpkin, raise a glass, chill a while.

YES it's new so it's small but I'll be at it at least once a day (well, night!). There's some fun stuff on it already.

Thanks guys, I'm very glad it seems to be going in the right direction. I've got a lot planned, and  lot of material ready to upload. Pictures from long ago family Hallowe'ens, projects in progress, etc. I'm really glad to finally get the bug for this blog thing!
See Scatter, your comment was the one that put me over the line!

Thanks again for the kind words, my fellow UMA soldiers.

Mike, I just saw the video when they highlighted your home on Halloween for the singing pirates, very cool display and even cooler it was recognized beyond your hometown. Great work man, especially the animated Pumpkin King. Very talented and well deserved.

Those are the kind of memories that make Halloween so special for the new generation. I remember to this day, the one neighbor who had a haunted house theme, you had to walk in to the foyer, through the lawn maze of monsters to get your treat, and then walk cool but fast as hell to the next house. LOL!

Those are the kind of memories that makes Halloween so special. That neighbor had that effect on hundreds of kids I bet, you are doing the same.

I highly recommend checking out this video of one of our own soldiers doing Halloween right.

Man, I can't wait for Halloween again.

THANK YOU Baron, very kind words.
And I think you're right about those memories for the new generation... back when we were that generation, someone (hopefully a number of someones) took the time and cared enough to try to scare us silly! And we've never forgotten it.
A few years ago a fella drove some 45 miles to see my display, which was heady enough for me, but he brought his kids and a bunch of their friends... so while they were running all around and digging everything, he asked me "Why do you do this sort of thing?"
It was asked with a smile so I knew he wasn't thinking me too strange... and I told him about the memories I had growing up, my family's celebrations, other people who inspired me, and how I will always want to tribute them and keep making memories.
He put out his hand. "And now my kids have theirs. Thank you sir."

THAT'S why I do it, as much for the kids as for my own love of the holiday. Making memories.

I'll be blogging about early Hallowe'ens, and what it means to me, in the future. Thanks again for heading to the Skull & Pumpkin for a cup of Autumn.
