You've heard the Modern Lovers first l.p., right? That whole thing is classic. From "Roadrunner" to "She Cracked" to "I'm Straight" to "Pablo Picasso". Early art-punk at it's best (produced by John Cale).

Definitely. I remember them in the mid 80s, listening to them with my friends. But the first time I heard the band, was from the Repo Man film.

Yep, it does have that jangly guitar, Talking Heads 1st album feel. Singer/guitarist, Johnathan Richman, is a real wacko (in a good way).

Btw, thanks for the link. I've never heard that version. Also notable, The Sex Pistols' version of "Roadrunner".  "She Cracked" was also covered by Siouxsie and the Banshees and Echo & the Bunnymen. The first ML album was hugely influential.

Powerful Clash song with these great lines:
"He who f*cks nuns, will later join the church"  Classic!
