JOY DIVISION! One of the greatest short lived depressive bands I have ever heard. During one of my big depressive drops back over 20+ years ago I made the mistake of listening to this stuff after taking many many pills and drinking a truckload. Great band just don't partake if you have drug/alcohol issues. Damn near killed me. :(
Ian Curtis R.I.P gone almost 32 years.

Joy Division - 02 - Day of the Lords

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

listening to a roger miller record, of which he is currently singing " my uncle used to love me, but she died  "
"A chicken ain't chicken 'til he's licken good and fried
Keep on the sunny side
My uncle used to live me but she died

Hamburger cup of coffee lettuce and tomato
Two times a dime to see a man kiss the alligater
One more time around free on the ferris wheel ride
My uncle used to love me but she died."

Roger Miller Rules! ;D

I was raised on the real country music,  By that, I mean the old mostly acoustic--Grand Ole Opry--pedal steel guitar-- Cryin' dyin' and goin' somewhere-- not that Garth Brooksized thinly disguised rock crapola nowdays! ::)
OK!
Off the soapbox!

Which brings to mind one of my favorites:

Country Music Lover

'Little' Jimmy Dickens

Oh I really thought that I'd learned to love her
I even took her home to meet my mother
That's why it breaks my heart to discover
That she aint a country music lover

"Well I already knew we disagreed on politics and religion
And it didn't really bother me too much when I found out she didn't like to go fishin
The trouble all started with them phonograph records I bought her.
Like she thought "Kitty Wells" was a place a cat goes to get water

Oh I really thought that I'd learned to love her  . . .

But friends it didn't take me long to realize that this ol girl was in a fog
Why she even thought that "Ferlin Husky" was some kind of Eskimo dog
She thought "The Texas Troubadour's" were President Johnsons stand
She even thought that "Ernest Tubb" was a sincere place to take a bath

Oh I really thought that I'd learned to love her . . .

Just to think that she'd been to college and travelled around the world
Then the nerve to ask me if "Bobby Bare" was a striptease girl
But what really got my goat and made me explode
Would you believe that she thought "Jonny Cash" was money you find in a commode

Oh I really thought that I'd learned to love her
I even took her home to meet my mother
That's why it breaks my heart to discover
That she aint a country music lover

Man talk about being this, squirly aint the word
Why she even thinks that "Pete Drake" is a duck
"Western Union" is a cowboys underwear
I don't know what ... [ Fade ]
