More garage rock!

When I think of garage rock, "The Cyrkle" is not the first band that comes to mind.

Yes, but dozens of tunes were covered in garages across the nation in the 1965-70 period and we've covered almost all the first ones that come to mind. We now need to start thinking outside the box.

Sam the Sham & the Pharaohs topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 1965 with this mega hit:

Wooly Bully

They then followed up their 1965 chart topper with this smash hit which placed at #31 in the Billboard Hot 100 for 1966:

Li'l Red Riding Hood

British Invasion? Garage rock? Who cares?! It's a great song!

Glenn Danzig and Cherie Currie's duet of Some Velvet Morning; the song was meant to be featured on Glenn's cover album Skeletons (November 2015) but something happened with the rights/permission and it was omitted.  But the release did feature several other great covers:

Devil's Angels-from the 1967 film of the same name
Satan-from 1969's Satan's Sadists
Elvis Presley-Let Yourself Go
Black Sabbath-N.I.B.~worst track of the lot...you can't out doom and gloom Black Sabbath
Aerosmith-Lord of the Thighs
The Litter-Action Woman
ZZ Top-Rough Boy ZZ Top
The Troggs-With a Girl Like You
The Young Rascals-Find Somebody
The Everly Brothers-Crying in the Rain

There'll be food and drink and ghosts, and perhaps even a few murders.
