I'm just happy to say that, today i finally received my vintage Universal Monster( ANCHOR-HOCKING ) glasses. Does anyone else have these? They are so cool, and a nice piece to a monster collection.

I only have the Wolf Man one myself.  Every time I go to a yard sale and they have glasses, especially any character ones, I always do a quick look.  No luck so far.    :(

I have them. Some of my fave artwork from the 60's monsters craze grace those glasses. Years before I was born . ;) ;D

I'm with you on that one Rob, I can find just about any character but the monsters.

Congrats on scoring a set of the drinking glasses. Now you'll need to get yourself a set of the Anchor Hocking place mats to go with your drinking glasses.

BUT .. before you go looking ... allow me to pull the rug out from underneath and tell you they were never made. Not officially anyways.

Feast your eyes on the power of imagination mixed with the skills of execution brought to you by none other than the king himself ... Richard Olson.

Congrats on acquiring the glasses - they are very cool indeed. Do you mind if I ask where you got them?
I'm like the others here - I'll scan any silkscreened character glasses in thrift stores, yard sales, etc., looking for the elusive creatures. Never had any luck that way either. I've seen them in collectible shops, but I couldn't justify the price...

That placemat creation is outstanding. Did he scan the glass for the image? That's a heck of a feat in itself...

So Great that you got them. Some of my favorite 60's collectibles with GREAT artwork!

The likelihood of these turning up these days for cheap is...unlikely. They usually/frequently turn up in the midwestern belt, but it seems every dealer knows what they are "worth" these days. I have  seen full cases of these turn up in the past!

Funny thing is, before guys  started paying for these (like 10-15 years ago) I used to pick them up regularly at the Chicago Toy Show for (hold your hats) $3-$6 each. The last really "cheap" one I bought was a Frankenstein at a church rummage sale (about 4-5 years ago) for ...75c!

The nice thing about the glasses is, they are probably the easiest-sell vintage monster item that there is, next to Soaky bottles, so don't be afraid to pay for them, as you'll get your $ back out when you want to.

I purchased them from Ebay, just a little pricey. But, totally worth having.
