Anybody catch this [or, better yet WIN this] on ebay the other night?? Is it really as rare as the seller states?

Seems us Creature collectors keep the price up.  Look like most of the paint has worn off.

They're rare, but really rare carded. Loose ones turn up on ebay a few times a year. Even with most of the paint gone, that seemed like a pretty nice price.

Damn, I missed that one, guess I will have to continue to settle for the eleven mint-on-card I already have ....

I had this one as a kid--I recall a soft spot where the hollow plastic was thin, and one foot eventually fell off. But I guess I had seen this in some magazine and had to find THIS version--the most decent of the Mego styled CFTBL figures.

I'd like to get one, or a remake, for my son, now age 4.   But not at collector prices.

A loose one with good paint usually brings $400 - $600.  Even with the chest paint rubbed off, that's a bargain.

I agree that's a fair price.  My joking comment is in reference to DepressedLarry's post about 11 carded AHIs.

Yes, I was just referring to the earlier comments.  Your post was made about 50 seconds before mine but wasn't there when I started to type ;)

Yeah, I was joking. I managed to get me a quartet of Remcos and AHIs (no mean feat, here, and all before eBay) but the Gill-Man in each case (and the Phantom in the Remcos) has been NATCH elusive.

I've dealt with this by telling myself they aren't that great and I'm missing nothing by not having them. It has taken several months of nightly self-hypnosis in front of the bathroom mirror, with my hands gesturing at my reflection and those little lightning-bolt-shaped lines coming outa my eyes, but I now believe it, and do not want for them no' mo'.

Yowsah.

I just can't live without completing my AHI monsters, if i can't have The Creature, someday.Every once in a while he pokes his little green head out, at an OUTRAGEOUS price though. Oops, he's slipping through my fingers again.

Just curious, what price range does everyone think is fair for a loose "male" AHI Creature?  I'm not saying what would you like to pay.  I'm sure everyone would like one for free.  But what do you think is reasonable?  I don't have one for sale.  I'm just curious to know the value other collectors place on this item.

Wow!!! that is a tough one, because i always complain about the price of certain collectible toys. But, in the long run i'll still pay. As i ramble on. I would probably pay between, 150 to 250, condition does matter.
