The cemetery from NOTLD is in nearby Evans City. If you can find Evans City, its easy to find. Simply try Google maps.
Yes, it looks very much the same. Once you get there and start pulling up the hill, you get the wonderful "Oh yeah, this IS IT" feeling. We took a roll of Black and White film to make the pictures more "authentic."

Hey thelatewinslowleach and everyone,

I'm driving in from Maryland - near DC.  So thanks for the suggestions on eating places along the way.  I'll be heading out Thursday via Rt 70 AND you'll know it's me because my car will be decorated with my festival signage:

Hope to see you all there,

Godwinshelley
Looks like I'll be missing this Monster Bash! - Maybe in 2016 : (

Maybe I'll see you all at Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Festival.

Forgot to ask!

Will we be having a photo op at Monster Bash?  If so, what time and where will we be gathering?

That is a good question!

One option might be to meet in the room that will house the Forry Ackerman and Linda Miller display.

The problem tends to be finding an open hole in the schedule when it does not conflict with stuff that is going on-- the schedule is jam packed.

Here is the schedule, if anyone would like to study it and look for some possible photo op times:

Don't forget to pack your UMA t-shirt!

I missed the photo-op at Wonderfest--hope to get myself and Cuz Sara and friend Jill in front of the camera at this one.  Sure, it's hard on the camera when I get in front, but that's how the Leica crumbles!  Elizabeth, you're right--I think the UMA display room is a good meeting-central place.

If anyone drives through Breezewood PA on the way over, stop at that odd little gift store. They have an awesoem skeleton bank.   :D

The art room will likely be too small for a group photo. But I will be contacting the hotel about the dimensions, and will post a suggested time to gather.

Hi All,

I hope to see most of the usual suspects this year, and I am happy that we will have a space for Linda's art once again. I was very proud of all of the work done at Wonderfest, and everyone who gave of their time. I am very proud of my Maxie for helping get this together. I sure will miss Linda's presence there.

Just another word of praise for the Linda Miller art display--I hope everyone who attends Bash will stop by and see it.  It was a privilege to have a hand in assembling it with Max.  Our own Raymond did a great job getting all the artwork printed out and then mounting all of the art so we COULD assemble it, by the way!  It was a labor of love--our love for Linda--getting it put together.

It couldn't have happened without Raymond's labor and energy.

Terry did a beautiful job of expressing what I think many of us feel about Raymond... how he pushes all of us to not accept less with the finished product.  A good compliment, like a good cast, is worth repeating! ;)  From the Army Announcements forum WonderFest post:

Raymond Castille- the Toy Tour tyrant. His determination in making the exhibit what it is is second to none. He has his own style (including his clothing attire  ;)) that ensures the exhibit will go forward and look according to plan.  Whenever I might be willing to settle for second best, Raymond quickly steps in and says "no ... not good enough." Thank you Raymond for your sharp focus and for skillfully executing the exhibit from start to finish. Without you, this would have never happened at all. Everybody loves Raymond, and I do too.

To everyone involved in making the Linda Miller Tribute a reality -- Max, Raymond, Robert, et al -- it is truly moving to witness the affection that is expressed with that display.

Meek was a person who gave great attention to detail, her art mirroring her life.  Raymond's attention to detail, the care given to selecting materials and execution, the seriousness and dignity he brought to the project, was tangible evidence of his esteem for this lady.

Max, is the DVD release at Monster Bash going to include a screening?

THREE MORE DAYS...

I should be able to make the journey and be there sometime Saturday Morning.  Are there any UMA events planned? Food, drinks, photos, etc?
