What Did You Do Today?

Spent the entire day at my gift shop rearranging displays, etc., getting it ready for the holly jolly days.  My back hurts.  (And my front ain't feelin' so hot either).

Went to Church, then KFC, then Kroger for chocolate milk and red Rooibos tea, and home.

Moved about a cord of firewood from my friends property about 15 miles away to our house in two separate trips in my wife's pickup truck today. Am definitely feeling the after effects in my neck and shoulders, but enjoying the heat emanating from our wood burning stove as a result. Gonna be a LONG winter!

Right now, I'm designing a bust of the legendary cyclops.

BAD NEWS - My 2000 Chevy Lumina needed lots of work to get it running properly (4 months ago).
GOOD NEWS - We moved, so I finally had a garage to work on it in.
BAD NEWS - Busted my back 3 and a half months ago - Couldn't do a damn thing to my car.
GOOD NEWS - My son came up last week and today to work on it for me.
BAD NEWS - I love this car and as of today, it's running again - but - I decided to give it away ...
GOOD NEWS - My son really needs a running automobile more than I do, at this time,,,  and now, he has one! 

GOOD NEWS..............you're a great dad, and that's worth more than any car ever produced.

Char & Gary - Thanks for the compliments, but believe me - I'm no saint!  Sometimes, I'm a grumpy ol' pessimist, who communicates in growls .  It takes my family & friends to bring the best out in me, and I thank God for that, !

I house cleaned this morning, and blogged this afternoon.  No TV until the MOGULS and MOVIES show was on TCM.  It was so nice to see Carla Laemmle, talking about BIG U, and seeing actual sound footage of "Uncle Carl". A nice man, I think, and certainly miles above the other moguls.

mars- I was in rehab this time last year!  I know how frustrating it is to try to move stuff you used to be able to move without thinking about it!  It gets better!     I can't believe I'm back to acting like an idiot  this year!  Muscles and bones and tendons heal, believe me. And you are probably a lot younger and COOLER than me- haha!

Charp, thank you! Being a drummer, and always using my muscles, it hurts a lot. I actually had to postpone a few gigs.
But, hopefully soon things will change.    Thank you, again.

Drove to Orlando in 7 hours without speeding, sitting in a hotel room, checking on my cat- he's being cared for by my son who is house sitting for us and my cat hates him, and I can't stop giggling because I've had 2 hours of sleep and a reporter on CNN just said "Maul Pc Cartney" and quickly corrected himself! I can't help but think of a Zombie Beatle with that name!  Oh man....... I'm so loopy!
