Well, today I'm slowly recovering from yesterday when I had severe food poisoning from the local sushi place I ate at (no wonder it was so reasonably priced).
I woke up, couldn't focus on my summer assignments for school so I logged on UMA. Then I drove to the supermarket to buy all of the essentials for the family BBQ that we had today.
And now I'm here again!

Good Lord! Been so busy lately havent had a chance to check in!! Which I guess is good..it means business is good! Having said that..I woke up today, went to the shop to transfer vehicles, from there I drove about 45 min to the dump. I did a cleanout of a garage for people that were moving on Sat and had to get rid of the bulk waste. I got up there, dumped, did some of the states "solid waste transfer" paperwork which is a rackett in itself. From there I did an estimate for a gutter cleaning then drove to yet another transfer station to pick up the application so I can dump there.

5 pm came and I went to the high school to run the track and sprint the bleachers. From there went to my partners house to photo copy the day's reciepts...and now, Family Guy then PASSING OUT!

You'd be rich if you came to my house.  That's is, assuming that solid waste is actually lots of old junk, not sewage.

Went to the Dollar Tree today and found some Universal Monster finger Puppets, they had Dracula,The Mummy,Frankenstein's Monster,
Wolfman, and King Kong.
Started a conversation with the clerk there, and she filled me in, that the store would have some great Universal Monster posters and other items in around Halloween.

That's a nice find, Dr G!

As for me, what did I do today?  I got out of bed!

Hah! (Uncle Frank's the one that looks like he has money because he has no little girl) The girl is Clara age 7.

How are folks doing with the nasty heat and humidity that is going through some spots?

Yesterday I had the overwhelming urge to sit in front of the freezer with the door open, and watch THE THING.

We're all here because we're not all there.

Yeh, it's been real hot here lately, but it's always like that in August.
The AC hardly ever shuts off, was outside today for just a few minutes, and sweated up a storm.
Had to spray the weeds, and spray around the house with Home defense to keep away the creepy crawlers, mainly spiders and scorpions. All this heat, has 'em coming inside seeking the coolness.
So, finished up outside and now back in where its nice and cool.
;D

Yeah, we've had heat advisories here for the past couple of days.  The humidity is so thick, it feels like your trying to breathe underwater!  I love my central air!

Elder Robert is a very bad influence.  >:(

All summer long he has been talking about trips to the Half Price Bookstore.  Waving those words around in his devil-may-care way... "I went to the Half Price Bookstore today."  This afternoon, while out on errands with my mother, I looked across the parking lot of a shopping center and spotted a Half Price Bookstore.  I reasoned to myself, "Elder Robert goes there all the time... how dangerous a place could it be?"

Well, it's pretty darn dangerous in there.  A literary King Kong spider pit.  I lost a chunk of time and money, and came out laden down with seven new (to me) books, and a new journal.

My stash includes... Gloria Stuart's autobiography (I Just Kept Hoping), a book on Elia Kazan, Memories of a Catholic Girlhood by Mary McCarthy (sister to Kevin McCarthy-- the book includes pictures of a young Kevin and covers part of his childhood as well), Kenneth Anger's, Hollywood Babylon (for the sake of curiosity) and several books by Fr. Thomas Merton.

Yes, he certainly is.  He carries an extreme form of the virus that induces collecting frenzy.
