Yesterday was a long hot day, AC repairmen never showed up, we got so hot, I decided to turn the AC back on.
It was a miracle, it started working again, dont know why or how, dont really care as long as it continues to work.
Went to the Doctor, he said it was just a bad case of my Allergies and gave me some meds to take for it.
Got home and had some family members come over and we made homemade icecream, we had Chocolate and Vanilla with butterfingers.

Today we went to Wal-mart and did a little shopping, and then on to clean the church.
Came home and are now resting, tonight we will watch "The Devil Commands" with Boris Karloff.

Save a scoop of that ice cream for me next time Doc!!

I value and love the English language, and am often moved emotionally by those who skillfully utilize it to weave a literary tapestry of truth and beauty. However, after surveying the vast array of descriptive and evocative words at my disposal, all I can say in response to that painting is........

HOLY FREAKING CRAP!! That's AWESOME!!

Cost of a table at a flea market $30. Cost of sitting in the sun all day. $6 for a jar of Noxema. Cost of spending a day with your closest one. Priceless. 8)

Beautiful picture and a very talented artist!

I did grocery shopping today.  I know to many people that sounds extremely exciting.  I, however, was underwhelmed.

Regular day at work, but came home yesterday to my eBay package:

An original 1971 "Dracula Contra Frankenstein" Mexican lobby card. Great artwork from one of my favorite euro horrors.

Got the frame today and it will be placed under my Real Art Dracula scene (print) with the cool skeleton heads. Maybe will watch a movie from a recent trade with my buddy The Creeper, then pick up my wife, relax the rest of the night.

Got home from lunch and glanced at the mailbox and at my watch, thinking, "Would mail be here yet?"  Decided it was too early, and came into the house.  About 10 min. later, walked by front door and glanced out--and my mailbox was GONE.  I stopped and looked--and saw pieces  of my mailbox all over the across-the-street neighbor's yard, and a truck had pulled into their driveway.  Guy was up on their porch, pointing out to the pieces of mail box.  lol  My 95 yr old neighbor stuck his head out and pointed out toward me--and the guy walked out.  I was picking up the pieces, and he apologized all over the place--had taken his eyes off the road for a second and his extrended sideview mirror had clipped off my mailbox.  He offered to pay me, to buy a new one--but I said, Noooo, I think this might snap back together ok.  He offered again, but I refused--I'm sure that surprised him!  Took the pieces back over here--sat in the driveway and pounded on it a little while and got it back together, no problem--it's that heavy "rubbermaid" type plastic--and went out and stuck it back on the post.  In time for the mail, which was a goldarn bill, but...well, anyhow, all's well with the mailbox!

Robert,

Glad nothing good was in the mailbox when it got smashed and even happier that you didn't have your hand in it when it happened.  I doubt that would have snapped back on as easily.

Sixshooter, that is a fantastic Ygor your brother did.  I hope you'll share more with us.  What's his name?

Rob, my brother's name is Richard Bober. I started a thread in memorable  memorabilia some time ago  titled "for all the art lovers" showing some of his work.  He has a few prelims, like ygor  started. my computer has been messed up the past couple of days, once I get my mail back i'll post the pics of the monster and his bride.

What I did today so far was take the off. Me and Sweetypie are taking Clara (7) to the zoo. Hopefully have a pic or two later and maybe a surprise.

Yesterday I went to work, changed my strings and crashed early.

Okay, here's the pics of another prelim.
