Finally...Some Great News!

As an artist who suffers from depression, sometimes it's hard to even get up for work.

So, I have been writing many songs lately and it looks like things have paid off.

I wanted to share this good news with you guys as you are all family to me.

Well, I finally have some of my songs leased for some upcoming films.

No,they are not horror films but I am working on that angle also.

I signed the contract and even if the song gets cut out of the film , I still keep the paycheck.

Let's all hope for the best!

I was at Warner Bros just messing around on the piano while waiting to do music for another artist and just started coming up with this melody.

The recording engineer said that's really nice and play me the hook, that means the chorus, and he said to come back in 2 weeks and we will record a scratch track, that means a cheap demo.

Well, I played every instrument you hear and did all the backing vocals and in June we record the master with a real string section!!!

The song is sold and I am extremely proud of that fact.

It's going to be some great exposure and open up more new doors.

Please keep in mind that this is just a demo and the master will be crystal clear.

That is great that you shared that here.

I am very open in the fact that I have suffered from both anxiety and depression. Also, I'm in a band. Two things that have helped me more then anything in keeping these beasts at bay are writing music and exercise. Also a great diversion has been the "escape" that these monster movies, images and collecting has provided. On the outside I can see how they only look like material things, but the memories they hold, the friends that I have made and continue to make within the hobby by being a part of something like UMA is just amazing and worth more then the plastic and paper that adorns my shelves.

Glad to see things are looking up for you. You are definately not alone when you feel it "creeping up on you"...and like you already know, you are among friends.
