Anyone remember the Remco Hamilton Invaders line of monster toys from 1964-1965? The main monster was
called Horrible Hamilton. He was the green bug with the huge eyes and pinchers. He always reminded me as a kid of the creature in the move "Them."You pulled his cord in and he would scurry across the floor. He also came with 2 smaller friends: a yellow beetle and a orange/yellow spider. They also moved by pulling the cord, but their
legs didn't move like Horrible Hamilton's did. They just rolled with a wheel beneath. The bigger sets came with  things like the cardboard cave, futuristic domed tanks and jeeps, and 3 very small bugs that you pushed with your hand. Last, but not least, you could buy a Hamilton Invaders's helmet and gun to shoot those creepy crawlers.

Any special memories?[/b]

Oh the memories.  Wish I still had this set, but as with ALL the toys from my youth, they have disappeared.  I enjoyed this set as I had the helmet and gun and would spend hours going after the "INVADERS".  Yes, they did remind me of THEM at the time and that would be the scenario most often acted out with the BUG EYED MONSTERS.  Love it.  Thank you for stirring up the memories.  David
