Mystery Haunted House
« on: January 01, 2008, 11:44:13 PM »
Anybody know what this is exactly?  Seems to be late 60's-early 70's.

It has a slot in the bottom for what seems to be a light fixture.  Marbled gray plastic, with no detail on the back side, as if there were stickers applied there.

Halloween item?

I got one of those too :0 Mine has the sticker though. It was a Halloween item from about 10 years ago and it did light up
I'll take some pics of mine and post them.
Best.

Tom,

Very cool!  Mystery solved!  I got mine at a yard sale in the mid 90's maybe?  Looked to be pretty old/grimy at the time, and had that 60's injection molded feel, so I assumed it was older.

Stickers are cool, but I like the 3D molded 'back' better.  Mine has a slight melted spot where you can tell the bulb inside got a bit hot or too close to the wall.  Be careful if you turn yours on...

Raymond,

Thanks for the welcome.  Been a bit busy.  I'll know very soon if I'm going to Iraq or not.  If I do, I'll be wearing a Don Post Werewolf mask under my kevlar and I'll hang an AHI or two from the side mirrors of my Humvee, just to represent for the UMA.

Dang - that thing does a lot!  I've always wanted to add this to my collection but could never afford it.  Never saw it in action before today.  Thanks Tom!  (If you listen to the end, either the guy's wife of mom hollars at him "What are you doing???"  Too funny.

I didn't realize it was Tom's own video.  I thought he found it on youtube.  Oops.   Funnier knowing the real deal (despite my red-face)
