Mine is "The Caterpillar" starring Laurence Harvey. where he gets the earwig inside his ear and it lays eggs to devour his brain? Super creepy even now.

Its a toss up between Pamela's Voice (Phyllis Diller, John Astin)...where he murders his wife and thinks the conversation with her  is a figment of his imagination only to realize he too is dead and must spend eternity with her.....great little twist and a fun scare!!

A tie for 1st is There Tearing Down Tim Riley's Bar (William Windom, John Randolph and Burt Convey)...for anyone going through a hard time and feeling the "blues"...do yourself a favor and watch this one. One of my all time favirote stories!

Stories I really like are:

"The Cemetery"
Roddy McDowall and Ozzie Davis.. with the changing cemetery paintings after Roddey kills his rich uncle, and Ozzie Davis is the Butler. Very Creepy!!!

"Return Of the Sorcerer"
Vincent Price and Bill Bixby
Bill Bixby applies for a job translating a book for Vincent Price who is a Warlock and  has killed his brother.. there's also a goat if I recall...

both of these are great...

"Eyes"
Joan Crawford is blind and rich, and buys Tom Bosley's eyes....so she can see..for 10 hours or so....

This show to me was always like a live Creepy or Eerie magazine !!!!

The Sin Eater, the one with the giant spider, and the one where this guy dies and thinks he went to hell, but he went to this room where these people are playing this 1940's music and showing slides of their vacation.  So the guy can't figure it out, he can't be in hell because he's not burning.  H'e bored stiff.  So he call's the devil to find out what's happening and the devil says that yes he is in hell.  He's going to be there forever.  So the guy freaks and the devil says, that the room is not the only one like that.  There's another on in heaven just like that.  Somebody would dearly love to be there.  Interesting thought.

The Night Gallery episodes were, like Twillight Zone often thought provoking. Again it helps to have excellent writers ( like Serling) and great character actors. I have always liked anthology series. I wish they would return to that format as it allows for introduction of lots of characters rather than the weekly crew. Some of the best early TV shows, Twilight Zone, Playhouse 90, Omnibus etc. were anthologies.
