I bought a whole bunch of LT sets a while back. Thought I had everything available, but after looking through this thread, I'm at least a couple behind. Haven't had a chance to watch too many and hope I don't have any of those bad discs. Truly wish Netflix doesn't get WB, but it seems to be likely.

Jerry and George (no, the other Jerry and George) talk about LTCV V2 on The Extras podcast.

I think I'm caught up now. Ordered Collector's Choice V4 (I only had 1 thru 3) and Collector's Vault V1. Hope these releases keep coming. I also ordered the Jonny Quest Blu-ray set to boot.

We know one more is coming. I'd like to see all of the ones they probably won't ever release. You can watch them on the net, but it would be nice to have a BD of them. Does anybody want a list of the banned cartoons? There are more than just the "Censored Eleven".

Sure. I'd like the list. I know I've seen some here and there.

Just curious about your full collection of legitimate dvd/blu-rays.

I have all the Golden Collection dvds. I think that was 1 thru 6. I have the 3 Platinum sets. The Bugs 80th Celebration set. Porky Pig 101.
The Collector's Choice sets - 1 thru 3, with 4 on the way with The Collector's Vault V1.

Quote from: Lunkenstein on January 09, 2026, 08:05:43 PMI have all the Golden Collection dvds. I think that was 1 thru 6. etc., etc.

What you are mainly missing are the Super Stars sets, and the Mouse Chromicles set.

Some of the SS set are no longer needed. I'll work up a list for those. The MC set has all of Jones' "Sniffles" and "Hubie & Bertie" cartoons. Some of those cartoons are on the "Golden" sets (but those aren't high def).

Oh yeah, there are still 49 cartoons only available as extras on feature films. They are mostly '30s and most are one'shots,. They are getting picked off and put on the new sets. "I Gopher You" will be on the next Vault set.

Here are the legendary 11, plus a bunch of other LT/MM cartoons that we will probably never see on disc. I think they are all available to watch online.

The Censored Eleven:

These cartoons are entirely banned from broadcast and official home video release because racial themes and caricatures are central to their plots.

Hittin' the Trail for Hallelujah Land (1931)
Sunday Go to Meetin' Time (1936)
Clean Pastures (1937)
Uncle Tom's Bungalow (1937)
Jungle Jitters (1938)
The Isle of Pingo Pongo (1938)
All This and Rabbit Stew (1941)
Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs (1943)
Tin Pan Alley Cats (1943)
Angel Puss (1944)
Goldilocks and the Jivin' Bears (1944)

Other Problematic Cartoons

More Stereotypes of African Americans:

The whole "Inki" series.
The Little Lion Hunter (1939)
Inki and the Lion (1941)
Inki and the Minah Bird (1943)
Inki at the Circus (1947)
Caveman Inki (1950)

Confederate Honey (1940): A parody of Gone with the Wind containing racial stereotypes.
Fresh Hare (1942): Features a scene with Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd in blackface.
Wise Quackers (1948): Daffy Duck agrees to be Elmer Fudd's slave.
Which Is Witch (1949) Bugs vs African witch doctor.
Southern Fried Rabbit (1953): Bugs Bunny disguises himself as a "Stepin Fetchit" type to trick Yosemite Sam.

Stereotypes of Japanese People (WWII Propaganda)

Bugs Bunny Nips the Nips (1944): Features derogatory caricatures of Japanese soldiers.
Tokio Jokio (1943): A propaganda newsreel parody using extreme racial tropes.

Stereotypes of Native Americans:

The Hardship of Miles Standish (1940) Elmer vs Native Americans.
Slightly Daffy (1944) Native American stereotypes.
Nothing But the Tooth (1948) Porky vs Native American.
A Feather in His Hare (1948): Bugs Bunny is hunted by a stereotype Native American character.
Tom Tom Tomcat (1953): Depicts a hostile "Indian" tribe composed of Sylvester variants.
Horse Hare (1960) Bugs vs Native American, again.
Injun Trouble (1969) Offensive depictions of Native Americans.

Cool! I've always had a fondness fo Sniffles and H&B are essentials, IMHO! There are 11 other "bonus" mouse toons on the disc. They are unrestored, though some of them are restored on other sets.

While copying, pasting and editing all that text, the spacing got all screwed up. I'm too pooped to fix it, today.

Hope it helps to decide which, if any, of these SS discs interest you. Maybe you don't need 5 more BB cartoons, but you'd like to have all of the Sylvester Jr. and Hippety Hopper cartoons.  :)
