I'm anxious to see what they come up with. The HS zines covered their activities so well,
there seems hardly anything left to "unmask" ... except perhaps more color imagery.

This is so Cool!
Hope they can include the Don Post calendar masks short, that was aired on a Elvira episode.
It would be a perfect lead in to our collecting, and creation of The Halloween Society, all those many fears, er uh years ago.

Honestly, I assumed you were involved in this project. Kinda surprised if you're not.

I was invited to participate beyond answering a few questions but chose to hang back and let 'em surprise me.

Well, the documentary is still a ways off from completion but I did get my
first look at volume #1 of Bear Manor Media's printed version last week >

From its fun introductory chapter of monsterkid memories, we're off and
running through reprints of the first seven HS zines, each followed by
a recap of their articles with additional details. New friends, associates,
and celebrities come aboard for the ride while our author launches his
career as a professional writer for such prestigious publications as
Cinefex, American Cinematographer, FJA's Monsterland, and Cinefantastique.
I especially enjoyed his extensive notes on the creation of
The Halloween Society's limited mask editions.

At over five hundred pages, the story is still only half told. There's
another four hundred pages to come in volume #2 which I hope to digest
and critique soon.
