Sir: Thank you for the cool photograph. My brother Jim is very into Jackie "Robin" Ward.  He says her early album with the song " Wonderful Summer" is quite sought after and collectible. He said she was on the DOT record label.  Who knew she was also attracted to Frankie.  That Glenn Strange Frankenstein is such a beauty.  It looks huge in her arms.

Congratulations Josh on the great new addition.  He's quite a handsome devil.  I have saved many pictures of that Mad Doctor mask in the past as he always caught my eye.

This is still my favorite photo of all the Don Post classics.  I always wondered if there were any color photos of this shoot?  Or what year this ad campaign took place?  This will always be my A-list for the "Pat Newman" Don Post Studio masks.  Each one was a true masterpiece and a "Celebrity in their Own Right". cl:)

I have the Lugosi from Lady's book/Horror Hotel.   I wish Dr. Lady still painted like this, and others like the Mad Doc etc.. he did during that time.

Morning, noon, or night, Anytime . . . . the count may strike. If you're caught you have to linger, Cause Dracula may bite your finger!

That ad is from late 1967.   The white background pictures are probably 64 and left over from the Universal Horrors ad..   Dracula was no longer available and you would have gotten the version B Phantom,  and Hyde, not the calander versions pictured.    The Gorilla and Mutant would be different than pictured also.   Black background pics 67.   Ive never seen color versions.

Nice! I knew you had a Calendar Lugosi, did not know it was that particular copy! That's an unbelievable piece! I agree RE: the paint, some of his best work.

Funny thing about the Dick Smith Frankenstein mask - Dick didn't have enough black hair, so he used a dark brown hair on the back side of the mask.

Thanks Dr. Terror for all the interesting information on the original Don Post Studios advertising campaign.  That is still my favorite shot of all the Classic Universal Masks together.  It would be cool seeing them in color. However the B&W has a unique beauty and is more in line with classic monsters.

I wonder what was the first year for the Don Post Karloff Frankenstein mask? I am assuming it was 1967?  That will always be my all-time favorite mask. I was searching the internet and recently found some better photos of Karloff at the Magic Castle with the giant Don Post Frankenstein.  I am amazed at just how big and beautiful they looked in their original form. However, I remember seeing many Karloff Franks in the early 1970's and they were all just huge.

Your Lugosi Dracula is beautiful Dr. Terror.  I can clearly see that he's the original Pat Newman sculpture. It had a unique look to it.  Your Smooth Glenn makes a perfect bookend as well.

MonsterBaker666 – thanks also for the info on the Dick Smith mask. I do remember seeing some photos where you can make out the brownish hair.

That was sure a cool time period for all things monsters.

A bit sharper photos of Karloff at Magic Castle -
