What name did you wrestle under? Would we recognize you? I haven't watched wrestling since Tony Murino and the Iron Sheik, Jimmy Superfly Snooka, Pompero Firpo (sp?), etc...

You are exactly right about the UMA being the best place to be in cyber space!!!

Mike

No, I doubt you'd recognize me.  I "rassled" in mostly independent federations.  Worked on some shows with Jim Duggan, Randy Savage, Greg Valentine, Dick The Bruiser, Hillbilly Jim and others.  I was a journeyman "heel" (bad guy), but never made a great living at it, fun & grueling as it was.  Used several names such as Axeman, Masked Superstar, The Brute and Golden Gorilla (that's been my nickname for the past 30 years)...  not so Golden anymore, more like silver!

The wrestling biz is wayyyy different from when I was active.  I don't watch it at all since Vince Jr. took over, though I do still keep in touch with some of the boys.

And to Wich2, Bobo Brazil was a class act.  His "son" works as Bobo Brazil Jr. and is a geat throwback to the old days.  World Wrestling Superstars honored he & myself with an induction into their Hall of Fame a a few years ago.  Bogey, I never met Putski, but knew some powerlifters who worked out with him back in the 70's.

In the 60's & 70's, monster movies and wrestling went hand in hand for me... or is that, claw in claw?

Thanks for your interest.

One of my best buds (who looks like a wrestler, BTW) was best friends/grew up with Randy Savage- they lived in Downers Grove and are still tight.

Wolf Man

Most probably already know I am a Firefighter.  Was in Iraq and now heading to Kuwait.  Same job, better living conditions and food.  Plus, no one shooting at me or trying to blow me up.

I just survived a mortar attack two nights before leaving Iraq.  A mortar actually hit our Fire Station.  We are all ok and immediately went out searching for others who may have been hurt.  A young female soldier was killed in the attack.  We though she would be ok but then her condition soured and she was airlifted out but expired in the Helo.

I have job opportunities also in Afghanistant but am going to take a more tame job for now.

I am currently vacationing in Germany though.  They have some great forests here that are just awesome for a wolf's paws running through them.  Full moon is coming so I will be out and about.

Hold on tight my Detroit brother.  It is tough here.  My hubby is considered one of the suppliers to the auto industry.  Thankfully he has other irons in the fire.  I'll say a prayer for you and keep my fingers crossed.

Wolfman - OMG. you are one brave person!  I admire your courage.  You are doing a job that I could never do.  Bravo to you!

I worked with Randy in Angelo Poffo's (his dad) territory in Kentucky in the early 80's.

I teach art in a public school system to have a continual paycheck. I love to buy monster toys, lobby cards and posters.  ;D
On the side, I do illustration and graphic design work. So I can buy even more monster swag and support my model kit habit.
Also, I have been known to dabble with the art of writing.
I co-authored a McFarland book about Claude Rains with my buddy, John Soister many years ago. That was a blast for a Claudian geek such as myself!  8)

Wolf Man

Thanks Wich2, that is so nice.  Keep in mind though that the Wolf Man never dies, I remind my wife all the time I am indestructable or maybe just charmed I can never remember which.  After 22 years of fighting fires nothing has got me yet.  I will probably end up getting run over by a guy on a bicycle.
