I showed up there yesterday wearing my "Crimson Ghost Mask Room" T-shirt
and a random ghoul girl actually recognized it. We had a nice chat about
Rudy's collection.
I attended panels on Lon Chaney and Disney's new "Haunted Mansion" movie,
toured a "Dia de los Muertos" art exhibit, crept through the "Hall of Shadows" for
a sample of upcoming haunted attractions, and got a few pictures along the way.
If you have more to share, do it here!

I spent the afternoon there yesterday and took a bunch of pics
for us to remember it by >

Dealers Room action >

Luncheon is served >

Save room for dessert >

Don't eat too much cake or you'll end up like him >

Attendees in costume >

Krampus in the house!

A few shots from the "Hall of Shadows", featuring the best Halloween haunts >

Did you happen to attend the show? If so, post more pics!

Doh!

Great photos, and thanks for sharing! How's it compare to Monsterpalooza? Looks like a pretty big venue.

FRANKENSTEIN455

That looks like quite an fun and interesting convention. The evil cakes are a cool & tasty concept. Thanks for all the great photos.

MadCow

Wow, that looks like a blast. All the cons here on the east coast I've been to seem lame in comparison.

Sir Masksalot

There are so many video walk-throughs of this convention on youtube now,
my pictures here must seem redundant. Since they're all still fresh as
of yesterday, we might as well start in with one more round.

The first vendor I happened upon was Chaney Entertainment. Most impressive
was their display, I took five shots of it >

Nearby was The UMA's own Count Zachula and his stickers to make you shudder >

This gal was just handing out fliers but she was being so creepy about it,
I had to pause and take notice >

I like this artist's work. I keep a print of his "deepsea anglerfish" painting
at home with my marine biology books >

It's a good idea for vendors to keep a "Frankenstein" figure on hand.
It draws in customers for business and provides for great photo opps >

Come to think of it, there was another "Frankenstein" just a short walk away >

... and another ...

... yet another ...

... still another ...

All the local theme parks hosted exhibits promoting their Halloween haunts
and merch for this year but the one I wanted to see most was Universal's.
It was a twenty-minute wait in line to walk through and although classic
monsters figured prominently on the outside ...

... they shared space inside with more contemporary horrors >

Before exiting, I spun the big wheel and won a "Mummy" pin!

I made a quick pass through the "Hall of Shadows", Midsummer's haunt zone,
but didn't linger. It was too dark and foggy, plus all the waiting lines
were much too long.

I'll add a few more images later. If you have any pics or
a favorite video link, do post in reply.

Not at all! I much prefer your still shots, thanks for posting, Sir Masksalot!

Yeah, the still shots are preferable to many of the YT videos. I get weary of all of the "personality" people try to interject into overlong videos. I just want to see the stuff, man.

Also, some of the streaming issues make certain videos somewhat annoying.
ALWAYS MONSTERING...

Count Zachula

Always great to see Sir Masksalot!

Also this was my first time at Midsummer, both as an exhibitor and attendee, and I can honestly say its the best horror convention I've ever been to! Will definitely try to be back next year.

Monsters For Sale

This YouTube video was done by some folks who concentrated more on the artwork and visited a couple scare attractions.

I really like the unpainted bust, but it looks like Chaney Entertainment is accessable only through facebook.

Never been on facebook.  Never will.

I've always thought the light grey or white colored Frank that people paint based on that photo was wrong.

He fell into a sulfur pit.  Wouldn't he be yellow?

Maybe it's "silver screen" color?  ;D
