And now - Godzilla Minus One is now also Minus Color!

And..it looks like it works well in B&W.

Hepcat

How so? Is the studio actually releasing a B&W film edition to theatres?

???
Collecting! It's what I do!

Yep.  They said they made some changes to some shots and mattes so it looks more like a film shot in the 40s.  The (short) trailer looks good.  It fits the timeframe of the film.

There is a second Godzilla McDonald's commercial.  It's more entertaining than the first one and is about a minute long.  Did I hear Godzilla Burgers?

Saw it and was quite impressed with the B&W conversion.

Doh!

Got a chance to see the B&W version in the theater last week. Highly recommend it! I really liked how they treated it seriously, without relying on ridiculous sci-fi gimmicks. Looking at YOU, American versions!!

Seriously, I found Godzilla vs. Kong to be a pretty miserable experience. This blows that one out of the water.

Godzilla Minus One & Godzilla Minus One Minus Color are both excellent.  Prob the best Godzilla film since the first one back in 54.  The new American films are pretty lousy.

I'm way late to this thread. My kid is a huge Godzilla fan. I have always been a casual Godzilla fan. He wanted to see this bad so I took him the night it opened.

Absolutely blew my mind. Best Godzilla movie I've ever seen. One of the best movies I've seen in quite some time. American studios should fold in shame at what this film did with the budget it had. Outstanding job.

Anyone hear if there is going to be a blu ray release in USA for this?

There should be, but Japanese films take their time releasing on video. It could be this fall before something comes out in the US.

Lunkenstein

I just watched this on Netflix and was blown away. Great film and best one since the original.

Doh!

Yeah, I want to check out the color version now. I heard that the English dubbing is quite good. Did you watch it in English or Japanese, Lunkenstein?

Rex fury

My son alerted me to the Netflix showing. I liked the English dubbed version better as I hate trying to watch the action and read the captions at the same time. He prefers the Japanese language version.
I think this film, no matter which version, is really well done. I liked the focus on human drama and that Godzilla was truly a scary monster!

It was with English dubbing and done extremely well.

Yes, I thought the human story was great too. The little girl crying almost had me in tears.
