I remember when the Cineart Frankenstein bust made its debut at the Mad Model Party.
They'd rigged it onto a dummy torso with moving eyes. We all stood there amazed!

I still have my copies of all the literature they were handing out at the convention >

Those prices are....interesting.  I had one of the mass market $100 versions when we stocked them at Spencer Gift's.   It smelled great in the box.😊

My Cineart Phantom of the Opera still smells great.

I miss the chance in purchasing a Frankenstein's monster. The Phantom that I eventually purchased looks great.

Here are a couple of pictures of my Miles Teves Cine Art Frankenstein busts.  I purchased two of them in the limited resin castings when they were first made available by the company.  I was a big Karloff Frankenstein fan. One was finished by artist Jim Lawrence and the other was finished by artist Gino Acevedo.  Gino’s is on the far left. The Frankenstein in the middle was finished by Jim. The Frankenstein on the far right was sculpted by the late Henry Alvarez and was also finished by Jim Lawrence.  I still like these Cine Art busts even if they are not a completely accurate sculpture of Boris Karloff 1931.

I would invite all here to track down and watch Dr. Shocker's Vault of Horror. There is a documentary on there about Imagineering. The Good folks who brought you EVIL TEETH and VAMPIRE BLOOD were also the good folks who were behind CINEART! In the doc is footage of the gorgeous Dracula Bust.

This guy?

                                                              DRACULA - Bust - Cineart

I'd like to know why that bust was never issued.  Was it copyright problems or Cineart's financial problems?  I could never get any straight answers on what went wrong.
