Jay Black of Jay and the Americans sadly passed away at the age of 82 of pneumonia on Friday. Here are some selections from the catalogue that the group recorded with Jay Black as lead singer:

I was sadden to find out yesterday that Jay Black (David Blatt) had died.  I was surprised to learn that in 1966 that he had sung a song about the holocaust called "Where is My Village" .. When asked in an interview if he could've only sung one song . he picked "Where is my Village".
