We all have real names outside of our handles here. Except possibly thee?

Hoping comic shops etc get this Bride, so I can order one.

Perhaps they will release a black/white ultimate version without the chair, and in the standard box, with poster art.  I'd like to see the added extra of the brides 'firm' bones, and skull.  It would look good posed holding the skull, as seen in the film.

I don't want to seem like a Gloomy Gus here, but I am going to think out loud for a second. Has anyone else noticed that the only Universal Monster offering that we have been made privy to that is in the works.... is this Frank/Chair set? We have known about that for quite some time.

Nosferatu, London After Midnight aren't Universal. They might even be public domain at this point.

The prototype reveals for Christopher Lee Horror of Dracula, and Vincent Price, aren't Universal Monsters. Nor included on NECA's classic monsters checklist guide.

I've been told Phantom and Invisible Man didn't sell all that well.

Do you think they are slowing down on Uni....or just playing their cards close to the vest? be a dang shame if no Werewolf of London, Kharis Mummy, or others say the light of day.

Thoughts?

Wow - the package art was posted back in August 2023....and it's not due out until June 2024?  Sure takes a long time for this stuff to get to made.

Haven't heard them announce any other Universal figures, so this could be the end of the road for them.  Unless they do color variations like Super 7 has done.  Those I would not be interested in.

Dr.Terror

Recently Universal has this weird thing where they only do licenses for a few years.   It appears after the Frank Chair that's it.
Morning, noon, or night, Anytime . . . . the count may strike. If you're caught you have to linger, Cause Dracula may bite your finger!

I honestly think anything past the main 8 Universal Monsters was always going to be a long shot. I would have loved for a Kharis Mummy, Strange Frankenstein, etc, but I do wonder how much broad appeal those figures would have. So if this is the end of the line, I'm happy with what we got.

I hope they do more, but at this point it looks like they are moving towards the Hammer and possibly Vincent Price movies. I would love to see themed box sets based on later UM movies. Frankenstein meets the Wolfman two pack, House of Dracula 3 pack, and ultimately an Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein 5 pack, but new head sculpts for old bodies are expensive. An Ultimate Frankenstein set with all four different actors heads and one or two bodies would be something I would shell out the bucks for.

Tracking shows my BK Creature was in San Antonio on the 8th and then it goes silent. When checking with the Loot Crate people they ask if I've reached out to the shipper in China.

I swear, I'm going to end up losing this guy in the mail and they won't do anything about it.

I've ordered stuff from Amazon and oddly some of them go thru "China Post" - even when the items not coming from China.  I get the stuff, but it's really hard to track.

I hope they can go deep with Hammer, but the licensing always seems to be a bit of a hellscape sometimes. If what I am hearing from the usual "whisperer in the wind" (This fella is never wrong. Ever.) we should see a Van Helsing Ultimate with a box also marked as "Horror of Dracula". Beyond this...who knows? The Shadow, I reckon...but he ain't saying much these days.

Trick or Treat Studios managed to get quite a few characters into mask form. Mostly the ones distributed by Warner Bros. if memory serves.

I think Vinney is probably a one and done. As its his public persona being presented. Not a film specific character. Some folks manage that. Peter Lorre did too.
Price's onscreen persona as a spookmaster was a "role" he created for himself. Yet we shall see.....I would gobble up film specific Price characters.
