This one is Dacula (Transylvania), suggesting they'll release a London variant

Oh, costumes!

Probably have a head with a "top hat" head, the "come here" head he uses on Van Helsing, and the "gonna getcha" head he makes when he moves in on Lucy. Maybe with a red or gray cape lining. Possibly his walking stick.

I can't wait for the hat and walking stick.

My guess we'll get style B one sheet for the London and the red and blsck Spider Web for b+W.

Morning, noon, or night, Anytime . . . . the count may strike. If you're caught you have to linger, Cause Dracula may bite your finger!

That's the 1947 reissue one sheet. '47 also had a nice 3-sheet.

Its the same image used on the 12" Renfield  so Im sure Neca will use it also. Its a go to   And fits the style of the posters chosen for Mummy and Wolf b+w.
The  cartoony ship  poster was a teaser of sorts wasnt it?

So...

When is the Frankenstein Body Knocker scheduled to come out?

I don't think we know yet, as far as I'm aware anyway. The announcement post for it just said more information is to come.

LOVE this poster so much.  And have we seen it for any official merchandise?  Not that I'm aware of.

The Re-Release poster Dr. Terror shared is definitely my favorite of the posters Universal has offered up to licensees.

I know we'll never get this poster, but I really love it.  I remember seeing it in an out-of-town antique shop when I was a kid.

Also love this one:

It was just one of the 4 one sheets. They made a lot of posters, back then! In the Pressbook it's called the "F" style poster. The "D" and "E" style posters were 3-sheets, which makes it kind of confusing.

That's a commercial poster, like the ones they used to sell in the Captain Company.

The other is a Reelart reissue (1951) Insert poster.

I think the Reelart posters are really awesome.  Who owns the rights to them?

I wasn't trying to degrade it, just identify it.  ;)

I assume they are PD, just like all the other movie posters from back then.

I know, Mike!  Never thought anything different.  I knew it wasn't an actual poster when I shared it, but I still really like it.  The French re-release poster from the '60s is the closest official poster we have to it, I think.  Even though it's official, we'll never see this one either:

Yeah, I'm not familiar with copyright on publicity materials... yet.  So I always want to know more.  Remember XoneX using the posters to license the characters a few years back?  I assumed XoneX owned the posters if they were able to do that (prior to being shut down by Uni's lawyers).

Posters before 1960 are all PD. You can do whatever you want with them, but if Universal threatens to sue you, what are you gonna do?  :(

Some posters between 1960 and 1977 are copyrighted and some are PD. Don't axe me which. Probably the ones they didn't renew the c. on are PD.

All posters after 1977 are copyrighted.

Thank you!  I don't know how I have avoided the topic of poster copyright for so long (since copyright law is like a hobby of mine), but I am glad to now have a basis for such discussions should they unfold.   je7u6ker6
