the old figures had little detail

I would disagree.   The Remcos were very detailed.   Esp when you see an unpainted test shot.

The Remco mini monsters made a major impact on the 10 year old me, that found them on the pegs at K-Mart. My mother and I went shopping. She told me I could go to toys while she shopped for a dress. I scooped all 6 of them up. I told my mom we had to buy them. Dad wasn't with us. She said she would have to ask because it wasn't my birthday or Christmas. We went to a pay phone. I remember telling him they had all the actor's faces on the cards. We bought them.

The Remco mini monsters will always be a magic childhood moment for me. One of a scant few I had.

Do have any photos of those unpainted test shots? I'm completely unaware of any still being in existence - though you would think there are still some bumping around, or at least I sure hope so.

Really digging those GITD retro figures, especially with those cards. I'll probably get a set (might add to my Christmas list, if they'll be out by then), and leave them in the packaging.

Hopefully we get an announcement about the Dracula figure soon. Really hoping it's the next one after Invisible Man!

The unpainted Frank and Phantom.

And these are plastic test shots and not resin hard copies? I am very excited to see them if so, thanks!

I own a painted test shot of the Monster, yes. And I've got the most complete collection of unpainted, unassembled hardcopies that I'm aware of, as well as a number of other fun artifacts from the line. I'm unaware of any unpainted test shots though, hence my question. I would love to see some.

I was referring to the resin.  I assumed tney were called "test shots" also.

I am not a fan of those Glow in the dark ones, i understand the B/W versions but this new ones looks soo tacky and cheap, but i guess that was the intention.

My guess is NECA is having issues with Lugosi for the Dracula figure and that's why they keep milking this 3 to buy some times for Dracula. Its weird seen photos of him almost a year ago and dint have any actual release date.

aura of foreboding

The Lugosi estate was part of the press release for the NECA line, so how could anything be wrong with the licensing at this point?

Going for the first scene from the 1931 flick with Bela, not the finale, or later films. Smart. I had to correct myself. NECA never fails me,lol.
