Yours and everybody who sells one on eBay.

These didn't make it past the proto stage.

Does an extensive pre-order lessen your interest in a product?   I know it does for me.   It gets to the point where I don't care anymore. Anyone else feel that way?

Anton Phibes

The extensive pre order window doesn't bother me nearly as much as the lack of a definitive ending for their lines. In other words, when they're finished, issue a statement as such. Something like:  "this is it true believers, the final figure in the line".

This waiting years, and forgetting about them doing any more entries, and then one day popping up with a character from a series that's dormant is annoying.

Looking at Dungeons and Dragons, Hammer Horror, Gargoyles as prime examples.

Neca Hammer license was announced in 2020. First figures were released two or three years AFTER. Now....crickets. Will there be more? Did they sell well? Or was Horror of Dracula all there is? Trick or Treat Studios didn't do well with the Hammer license from what I am told.

I can understand the frustration though from "reveal" to "in hand". It DOES seem to take awhile.

I hate the long waits, but I'm still gonna buy it, if it's something I want.

Shown at Toy fair this weekend.  Nothing else seen for universal.  Some new F13th pieces though

The point of this one is lost on me. Unless you're looking to recreate a still from an old issue of Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine.

Weirder still is that NECA has never released a b&w version of the regular Phantom. So now we're getting the both this and the Mutant in black and white, but no Erik nor Invisible Man. I would love to know the thinking behind that.

Are any of us thinking their Classic Monster line is done? 2 re-releases in a different color scheme seems oddly slow compared to how quickly they cranked this genre out the last 4-5 years.

I wonder if they will ever do Chaney's Hunchback of Notre Dame? So many others they could do. I really want a Glen Strange Frankenstein! I'm still also curious why no one will do Colin Clive figure, and I'm sure that has been discussed here many times. I'm just to lazy to go back and look for those posts.

I wish someone would do a killer version of Laughton's Hunchback.

Don't quote me .... but I believe it s that there's no Aires of family left in the Clive family to sign off on the likeness

John Pertwee

That means nobody left to sue them if they did release it.

You are correct, its been explained many times. An adventurous company might take a swing at it after 1.1.2027. Same with Dwight Frye as Fritz and Renfield and perhaps a few other cast members from the 1931 Dracula and Frankenstein.
