NECA HAS OBTAINED UNIVERSAL MONSTERS!!!!

Tuesday night at 9:30 I got a text from UPS that I have a package inbound from Rubies Costume (NECA) and today a message that it will be delivered tomorrow.

No shipping notices from NECA, and my recent orders still show Unfulfilled,  but from looking at the package details on UPS, I'm guessing it's the Glow Invisible Man and Glow Ben Cooper Skeleton.

Ordered the Bride of Frankenstein "Frank" on September 5th. Still nothing but a "please be patient, we expect it to be shipping soon email". *sigh*

My brothers SDCC turtles ended up shipping to some place in Columbus, OH.  Hopefully my glow Invisible Man doesn't wind up in a similar situation.

With regards to delays: It isn't Neca's fault from what I am hearing. It's the state of shipping and backlogged ports with US Customs. All the smaller guys are log jammed. I really wanted to have that Vincent Price by Halloween. Ain't happenin'.

As am I. But consider this: Syndicate had their Pumpkinhead SDCC signed exclusive ready. Yet the regular edition of the figure is stuck someplace. That SDCC stuff is probably "time sensitive" and takes priority upon contract to do them. the other stuff just languishes.

A Halloween miracle! My "Bride of" Monster arrived out of nowhere today. He's so cool, I really hope they keep the UM releases coming.

We can dream, but Colin Clive is almost assuredly something we will not see co-branded Universal, at least not until 2037 or later. I've tried, I know others have tried, and it's just a non-starter. Have you seen how they had to mutilate the portrait of him in the new theme park? That's the state of things for Colin Clive as Henry Frankenstein for now, as far as official licensing goes.

So....in hand shots of Vincent Price have began trickling onto the internet. Is it me, or did they give him brown eyes, and mismatch the paint work on the old age head (IE hair and facial hair/eyebrows dont match)? Vinney had blue eyes.

Or perhaps my own eyes are playing me tricks? Do these things I point out seem legit? Or am I finally going coo coo for Coa Coa Puffs?

OK, with regards to Vinney, those pics are unflattering. Paint apps are not mismatched on elderly head, and eyes are bluish gray. They got it right.

I received a shipping notice from NECA this morning. I'm hoping it is for the Universal Monsters Toony Terrors. Since the Universal Monster Crypt Club set is not due till the Q1 of 2025. I'm sure they are on there way. 🙂
