I am. I've studied Universal Studios Monsters  and Frankenstein in particular since I was a child.

'Fascinating field of study, isn't it? Then you surely must know that "smooth Glenn" was cast off a prop head
borrowed from Universal's makeup department >

The retail version of this mask went out of licensed production in the mid 1970s but it's been recast
countless times since. Everything, including your appliance, probably originated with this mask >

Perhaps you could try contacting the surviving family of the magician who owned it and trace this headpiece
back to its source. Already knowing his name is a big clue. Let us know what you uncover and let's hope it's
not just another "big fish tale"!

I'll reach out to the family and let you know my findings!
Any way it goes it was an awesome find! I gave 70 bucks for it and two huge Frankenstein(1931) and Dracula(1931) posters
