I couldn't find a specific thread for book recommendations, but I'm reading a book now that might be of interest to some of you. It's called "CHAOS: Charles Manson, the CIA and the Secret History of the Sixties". The title is pretty does a good job of explaining what it's about, and I'm enjoying it a lot so far. I've been interested in the Manson Family and Tate-LaBianca Murders for awhile, and this book provides some pretty compelling evidence that the "official" Helter Skelter story we all know isn't the full picture. (As an aside, if you are interested in this subject, I'd also recommend the podcast "You Must Remember This", which did a season on Hollywood at the time of Charles Manson).

We had a history teacher in grade school who used to devote entire class sessions to then current murder cases:
zodiac killer, the assassinations of Kennedy and King jr, the Tate/LaBianca massacre. We came to know those
names intimately ... and we were just kids!
