Dinosaur version with new heads and a hinged jaw is a Target Exclusive at first, then other retailers get them. Saw about 4 of them at a Target out by The Dayton mall in Dayton, Ohio.

Love that Kong! I have a Target right near me, but they never seem to carry any Neca product. Will have to jump online next month.

Like the 33 head.  Shame they don't make one with the proper body.  Rem8nds me too much of the McFarlane.  Those chest scars are a deal breaker for me. 

Also makes me wonder how many variants of the Uni Monsters they will make after foljks buy the first, 2nd etc...version.   Kong should have come with the plane and shakles from the start.

I wish the legs were shorter or the body was wider or whatever it is that's throwing these off.  I have the first version, the Bi-Plane set is cool even if the plane is on the micro size, but the figure itself while a nice effort just leaves me underwhelmed.

I meant the sculpt, not quality of figure.   Neca is more than qualified to do sculpts that nice. Heck, they already have.

When it comes to giant monsters and Kaiju figures/statues, X-Plus reigns supreme.  No one even comes close!  But comparing an X-Plus figure that retails for $150-300 in the states against a $30-40 Neca is like comparing a new Porsche to a new Volkswagen.

I found the new Kong at Target. They had a bunch of them. I may go grab another one as the packaging is really nice and I can keep one sealed.

They have one at Mandarake in Japan for about $75-- shipping is probably another $20.  So yeah it's more expensive but I agree with Doc that Neca could have done a better sculpt regardless of the price.
