Mix in some fruit like Ketchup and you’ve hit your daily nutritional requirements.

I do brother, I do. Top jt off with a Snickers bar and there's your dairy and nuts. Trust me, I'm a real health nut when it comes to eacting. Exercise....i hear you even burn calories while sleeping. Guess I'll just step up my schedule. Two birds, one stone.

What with all the protests, many thousands of people are spending numerous hours in very close proximity, shouting, running, etc.  A small percentage of those are being rounded up and placed on buses, where they will be taken to crowded holding tanks for booking and other processing.  (Some will stay longer and fill already overcrowded jails.)

Most of them will be sent home to jobless home lockdown - and possibly infect family members.

I really fear this will cause virus spikes in the next 2-3 weeks that could be quite dramatic and overtax the hospitals that have been getting a slight downturn in some areas and are just now gearing up for the normal rush in other areas.

I really hate seeing the numbers going back up in more rural states, already.

The Michigan floods forced a lot of people together in shelters.  And hurricane season starts with this month.

California is w-a-a-y overdue for a sizable quake.

(I don't think the comedic movies I've been watching are having the desired effect.)

I agree. And the numbers in D.C., Maryland and Virginia have been growing at a disproportionately rapid rate for several weeks already. Now we can look for another March break type of effect all along the eastern seaboard from Massachusetts right down to Florida well into July.

California has had some fractional lockdown easing and we may be starting to collect our earliest protest dividends.

This from ABC News:

"As of May 31, the portion of Los Angelenos testing positive for the virus was hovering at around 4%, according to Curative's data, which offers a roughly representative snapshot of the county as a whole, according to CEO Fred Turner.

But the portion of positive tests began climbing on June 1, up to 6% by June 2 and jumping again to 8.7% by June 3. Although experts agree there's a two-week lag to see the true impact of social movement on infection rates, the Curative data may offer an early glimpse at what's happening in Los Angeles.

The average person does not develop symptoms until about four or five days after they are exposed to the virus, and some people see symptoms from a range of two days to two weeks after exposure, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention."

More than double in 4 days.

The Wuhan outbreak may have begun in October or earlier:

There's gonna be a lot about this particular stain that people won't understand for many years - especially if all the newly discovered symptoms are a reflection of ever evolving mutations.

Found on the Interwebnet:

"A team of European scientists say they have found two genetic variations that may show who is more likely to get very sick and die from coronavirus, and they say they have also found a link to blood type.

Their findings, published Wednesday in the New England Journal of Medicine, point to a possible explanation for why some people get so seriously ill with the virus, while most barely show any symptoms at all.

They found people with Type A blood have a higher risk of catching coronavirus and of developing severe symptoms, while people with Type O blood have a lower risk.

"Our genetic data confirm that blood group O is associated with a risk of acquiring Covid-19 that was lower than that in non-O blood groups, whereas blood group A was associated with a higher risk than non-A blood groups," the researchers wrote in their report. They found people with Type A blood had a 45% higher risk of becoming infected than people with other blood types, and people with Type O blood were just 65% as likely to become infected as people with other blood types.

The large international team first published their findings on a non-peer-reviewed preprint server. The report has now been reviewed and published in the widely respected journal."

An unintended side-effect of COVID-19 may be an uptick in home fires for July 4th, 2020.

I hope none of these folks start any wildfires here in California.

In the empty spots.  (Hope those are the ones facing the screen.)
