Last time I was at Walmart, I saw a Camel Toe on a pair of leopard-print tights.  That’s as close as I will ever get to going on an African safari.

Hey, now

Will fresh meat go the route of toilet paper?

Costco said on the company's website that fresh beef, pork and poultry was being classified as "high-demand merchandise" and limited meat purchases to "a total of 3 items per member."

Wendy's has run out of burgers, prompting customers to ask, "Where's the beef?"

You didn't see the potato farmer that had tons of harvested potatoes that were going to rot - so he invited anyone who wanted to just come and take them away for free?

A friend told me told me they went to Costco, but they had NO meat.

Then they went to Sam’s, but they had NO meat.

They must have had contracts with some of the closed processing plants.

Mix in some fruit like Ketchup and you’ve hit your daily nutritional requirements.

I'm committed to a balanced diet. I therefore eat some of these as well:

Went to Wal-Mart yesterday evening. Needed coffee and bread. Should've been a quick in and out shopping experience.  Took half an hour. No one was wearing masks. No one social distancing. No one following the "herd traffic" directional stickers on the floors.  Place was packed. 4 cashiers, 2 of which were handling the "self checkouts". The gagging smell of body odor and funyons filled the air. The kid behind me in the checkout line kept giving me what I refer to as "grief face". Apparently I was not moving as quickly through the self check out as he would like. Once finished, I entered the parking lot. I was approached by a homeless woman. She says "Excuse me sir, I am homeless and pregnant. Can you donate some money to me?"  Then proceeds to raise her shirt clear up to her neck, and rub her belly as if to convince me of her forthcoming "blessed event". I told her I don't carry cash, was sorry for her, and retreated to the safety of my car: where my wife, and our faithful canine companion, awaited me. Leaving the house for groceries now makes me feel like Rod Taylor carrying a torch and fighting back Morlocks. The state may be re-opening, but I think I am gonna put my comings and goings on "impulse power" for a couple months yet. I can hold out that long for a haircut, despite looking like Don King every morning when I wake up. So I guess things are back to **ahem** normal around this neck of the woods. Wasn't exactly normal before though.

I just got another delivery order from Vons.

They delivered everything I asked for except 3 12-packs of soda instead of 4 (They were on sale for $2.50 ea.) and 2 bottled teas instead of 3.

No hassle with the public or the retail personnel, they placed all items on my kitchen counter, just inside the door.  And Vons drivers do not accept tips.

I hope it stays this simple for a while longer.  I hear horror stories from friends who insist on going to the stores.

Anton, it's hard to read your story without thinking of Dickensian London.

After living through this, I am thoroughly convinced that there has never been and there never will be a threat of greater consequence to America than itself.

And that's about as close to the line as we wanna get! (Damned virus!)

So frustrating to have to fear something you can't see, hear, feel, taste or smell.  You never know where it might be hiding - or if it will kill you, leave you without any symptoms or sneak up much later and get you with blood clots.

Wears on everybody's nerves - especially when they don't even have the normal daily distractions of work and outside leisure activities.

Everyone here stay safe.  There are too damned few of us as it is.
