I'm not religious, but this is worth watching for a great voice and the startling footage of empty streets around the world alone.

I'm actually recovering from covid 19 now. I'm on day 17 and it's the sickest I have ever been, worse than the flu and worse than pneumonia. 12 days of fever over 100, the several days of as high as 101.8  when my normal temp is 97.
Lost taste and smell,  not  to mention 12-14 pounds in 16 days
Sever coughing and bone aches, mostly my knees and feet.
My State of NJ as of yesterday has nearly 60,000 infected and nearly 2000 dead.
Fortunately I was.did not have to go to the hospital although I came close twice.
I'm feeling much better now and had my first light workout 💪

I'm so sorry you got it, but glad to hear you're on the mend. All the best to you for your improving health.

For not wanting to minimize covid 19, you did just that. I have it. I know what it's like.

I deeply regret that you've had this terrible experience, & I'm more than relieved that you're on the mend! However, your accusation is false & unfair. I'm still in a high risk category & working. Many of my clients & co-workers don't appear to be taking this seriously. It could happen to me, too. More loved ones than I dare to count are also in high risk categories. I was sharing what I believed was some helpful information from a NYC doctor on the front lines, take it or leave it. There is no reason to call me out, or my post.

I live in California, so today completes our first month of lockdown.

The Governor announced the lockdown on the 19th of March, the 12th birthday of a young friend of mine.  As a result, she had a tiny birthday get together of immediate family, grandparents and me.

Tomorrow will be the 19th of April and begin month two.  We've already been told the rest of this school year is cancelled.  The 5 year old sister of the aforementioned young friend heard me and her mother talking about when this started and asked her mom, "Will I have a Corona Virus birthday?"  (Her birthday is in August.)

The 12 year old was excited about her last year at her elementary school and going to summer camp with the rest of her class.  The little one was absolutely loving her first year of school and adored her teacher.  They still get assignments via computer.  The kindergartner completes all her assignments early and is always asking for more.

With all the hardships staying home is causing some people, I don't know why I feel so bad for these two kids, but I do.

I feel kinda guilty.  I am retired, have my Retirement, Social Security and "Stimulus" checks automatically deposited to my bank account, and never go out much, anyway.  This whole thing has been like nothing, to me.  (Except I don't get to see the girls right now.)

Wonder how I will feel about this on May 19th?

I had to go to the post office today. I passed by a Waffle House that has been shuttered since this started here. They had a crew scouring and doing deep cleaning. My guess is they are preparing for re-opening once the restrictions here begin easing. May 1st we start re-opening an inch at a time here in Ohio, according to the news. Apparently we even had freedom protests today. I wouldn't know. I have barely walked out my door since this crap began.

That's my situation here.  I don't get to talk to people around here (don't even see them walking by), so I don't have any idea first hand of what's going on.  I haven't been out at all.  I've seen pictures of empty store shelves, but haven't been in any stores.

I find a lot more items SOLD OUT online, and had some items from my orders cancelled - that's all.  Oh, and some delivery times have been much longer.

I appreciate hearing from real people about what they are experiencing.

Thanks for sharing.

I order online.  I just put an order in for Vons Grocers for next Wednesday (The earliest possible opening.)

Before, I would place my order before 12:30 AM and it could be delivered as early as 8 in the morning, if I chose that time slot.  Now it's hard to nail down a time slot - and I will probably have a couple items cancelled.

Target and Walmart are still making limited deliveries.  Walgreens and CVS deliver, if I need meds, etc.  A lot of restaurants deliver, but I can't have all the salt they put in their food - I pretty much have to cook my own.

I ain't sufferin'.  I was doing this by choice before the lockdown.

I wouldn't want somebody else picking out my food for me. They'd either bring me the wrong brand (or bring me nothing if they didn't have the brand I wanted), or bring me jelly, instead of jam, or bring me green bananas, or whatever! And I don't wanna write some super detailed shopping list to get what I want. My list just says "soup" and I know what to get.

The Vons order form has a place to check for No Substitutions, etc. and a box for each item to write special instructions like "green" or "full yellow".

Never had any problem  -  They have their own refrigerated trucks and don't even allow tipping for their delivery people.

You can browse what they have in the same aisle or department - Like just look through Deli Counter, if you don't already know what you want.  No hot items - but I can't eat those, anyway (Salt).  All I know, is it works for me.

You keep odd hours.
