I'm actually recovering from covid 19 now. I'm on day 17 and it's the sickest I have ever been, worse than the flu and worse than pneumonia. 12 days of fever over 100, the several days of as high as 101.8  when my normal temp is 97.
Lost taste and smell,  not  to mention 12-14 pounds in 16 days
Sever coughing and bone aches, mostly my knees and feet.
My State of NJ as of yesterday has nearly 60,000 infected and nearly 2000 dead.
Fortunately I was.did not have to go to the hospital although I came close twice.
I'm feeling much better now and had my first light workout 💪

I'd like to share something on the hopeful side, if I may:

First of all, it's not my intent to minimize COVID-19. I've had bronchitis 2X in 2 months, placing me in a high risk category. It's hard, I wish I didn't have to work. I work in a shelter. We try to keep our numbers down, but we don't know what's going to come thru the door. Some clients aren't taking this seriously & are making bad decisions that could possibly affect the whole place.

However, MOST people who get COVID-19 are recovering. And we don't need doctor or hospital services unless we are experiencing shortness of breath. Also, MOST people who are hospitalized AND on ventilators are recovering. And keep in mind, the news & social media tend to sensationalize everything.

Our best defense IS hand washing/sanitizing & NOT touching your face or other people. Plus the 3-6ft physical distancing. These work. The virus is a wimp to soap, water & sanitizers.

A last note: Many of the front line healthcare workers who've died from COVID-19 were emergency room personnel who came in contact with it before more solid precautions were set into place.

I obtained this info from a recorded video conference featuring a NYC doctor who's been working w/virus patients exclusively for over a month. I can do my best to find it again, if you'd like to see & hear for yourself.

For not wanting to minimize covid 19, you did just that. I have it. I know what it's like.
