When Ghost was announced, he had me build and paint this one for him.
How did you paint the Ghost and what kind of paint did you use?
The Gorgo kits were notorious for having extra and/or missing parts....
There are rumors he may be preparing to start up, possibly at a lower pace, again and a Fly kit might get released.
How much slower could the revived company be? First time around, their delays of announced kits went on for years.
Truth!Monarch does deserve full credit for its box art though which is simply fabulous. It's far better than that of the kits produced by Polar Lights or Moebius (unless of course the latter two companies simply reproduced the Aurora box art). Monarch's box art is actually up to the quality of James Bama's Aurora long box originals.
Yes, Monarch's box art was excellent, as were their sculpts (with the exception of the Dracula and Jekyll-Hyde repros).
Those were re-pops of old Aurora Monster of the Movies kits so Scott didn't have anyone sculpt them for him. Jekyll/Hyde was produced after he had actually terminated operations and he was selling them to people who got notified by model websites. I bought a box of four but only used two and sold the other two. He had an attack of the 50' man and the fly in the works before he closed the doors.
