Doh!

Great Frank! I have one of Sam's Myers masks (Devious). He did great work.

It's a cool Malone design which I used to see in Halloween stores around town, always liked it until they bloodied it up.
Trick or Treat Studios catalogs it as "Titan Find Thanatoid". I searched that title and found poster art depicting this
character. Was it the intended alien before the movie was repackaged as "Creature"? If anyone here knows Mr Malone
well enough to ask him, inquiring minds want to know. Thanks for the review, jupiter2. I always enjoy them.

Doh!

I definitely prefer the non-gory one! Nice review, jupiter.

These are Shock Monster masks from my collection, left to right: Topstone original from childhood,
Deluxe version by VXXFX, Post Studios 2011 reissue. I still have the latter two >

Collecting! It's what I do!

Here's two more Topstone tributes from my collection:

Their original GHOUL and a PostStudios/DevilsWorkshop reimagining >

'My Horrible Melting Man by VXXFX compared to Ray Castile's vintage Topstone. As Wicked Lester once posed,
can a cover song be better than the original?

Doh!

Not sure if I posted this here already, but here's my Death Studios Shock Monster:

Kidagain

It's always great to see ole Shock even if you did post it before Doh!.

Always loved Shock Monster! And also really cool Horrible Melting Man masks.
Sir Masksalot - was the Wicked Lester reference about the band that became Kiss?

No, I was just drawing a parallel to a popular thread in the "Music" forum here.
Say, we're about due for another jupiter2 mask review.

I should probably be ashamed to admit it but I just watched the "Pickman's Model" episode of
1971's Night Gallery today, for the first time ever. 'Well acted, atmospheric, great suspenseful
build-up to the monster's climactic rampage. The monster itself is literally a patchwork of
other monster suits but its reveal is quite effective in the context of the story.
It got me to reminiscing about the mask I once had back in 1983 >

It was only catalogued and produced that one year by Distortions Unlimited from John Chambers' original mold >

'Seems it left my collection soon afterwards but now that I can relate to the character so much better ...
Oh well, perhaps it will return someday to haunt my cellar ...

How marvelous, horrorhunter! These Pozers must learn not to run around wearing our masks.
Maybe when they get bigger ...
