Every see The Bedroom Window, 1987 with Steve Guttenberg and Elizabeth McGovern?  (Better than you would expect.)

Since it was written and directed by Curtis Hanson (L. A. Confidential), I would expect it to be pretty good!

Kinjite: Forbidden Subjects is more of a cinematic movie.  While Hardcore plays more like a documentary come to life.
