I thought it was time to remember a film that I first viewed at 11 years old. I have a very "soft spot" for this one!

The Great Race 1965

Mike Scott

I've probably seen "The Great Race" a couple of dozen times, over the years. One of my favorite comedies!

"Push the button, Max."

"Now, can I get me some fightin' room!?"

"Oh, of course I'll keep it to myself. Until the water reaches my lower lip, and then I'm gonna mention it to somebody!"

"WE'RE UNDER WATEEER!!!"

Great cast of future stars (and one director)!

Absolutely. I hadn't seen it for a long time, but remembered it being very powerful. And it still is.

Sunday night:

Watched the 2015 Restoration of Spartacus on BluRay. So much better than the 1999 reconstruction DVD. The larger format should be the benchmark for future widescreen releases.

My Dog Skip - 2000

Took my mom and my youngest kids to see that back then. We all left the theater in tears and depressed, lol. Not at all what we were expecting.

Caught a good '40s noir/thriller on YT called "Guest in the House" (1944). Directed by John Brahm and starring Ann Baxter (as the psycho guest) and Ralph Bellamy.
