Thanks, Mars, I could listen to these bands 24/7.

Mord....I could, too. Including the list I made.
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Just checked out your list...perfect. I don't know how I missed it the first time. All top notch choices.

I modified this list.

Great picks all around guys. "Pay to Cum" damn, what a great BB song. I could have picked at least 20 others from them. Always loved early hardcore stuff: Bad Brains, Black Flag, Minor Threat, Suicidal Tendencies etc.

Good to see DK, MC5, the Dolls, and Stooges on those lists.

I was just watching Night Flight on IFC, and the Damned were featured.

The first "punk" song I ever heard (I was 9); something about it drew me in but I wouldn't really start digging into punk until I was 15/16.

Love the music. Female vocals suck.

I'm not sure what category this should be in. Maybe post punk.
Theater of HATE. Very early 80's

I really want to know why prominent punk bands, even if they are local don't get the views they should. Effigies was a local Chicago band in the early 80's.
This horrible disaster of flight 191 happened on my 19th B-Day. I was freaking out cuz my sister was supposed to be flying from the west coast into O'Hara airport that morning. Found out later it was not her flight. Best B=Day present ever.

The Flys - Love and a Molotov Cocktail
Does any other punk out there remember this British punk hit? Pretty cool song.

I do. But then again i could just use google to fake any punk knowledge. Seriuosly tho. I do like them. Their 1st 2 records are more powerpop than straight up punk but still really good and sadly overlooked.

My top list (today. Ask me again next week and itll be different)
Wipers. Born with a curse
DOA. Great white hope
Terrible twins. Generation of scars
Dead kennedys. Looking forward to death.
Avengers. Corpus christie
Freeze. Broken bones
Lewd. Climate of fear
Subhumans. F you
DOA. F you
Chronic sick. Crotch rot.

Honorable mention: husker du divide and conquer (late but very prophetic)
